  1. Vazquez led the team with 5 SH in 2024 (half the teams total) and Clemens has the only SH in 2025. Meaningless stats? Probably, but it goes to show the teams (Baldelli's?) general approach with RISP, their .706 OPS ranks 22/30 in MLB, even worse their .635 OPS with runners on 2B ranks 24/30.
  2. So, probably lost for at least 100 days. Going back to his last game (6-4-25), that puts his return somewhere around September 12. He may be able to return to help out of the BP, if the team is able to stay in contention. Time to start packaging players/prospects for SP help.
  3. Alcala's days may be limited anyway, looks like Tonkin is starting his rehab in St. Paul this week.
  4. After re-watching the video, I think it was a designed play. There were 2 outs. Lee, a LH batter with some pop was batting, France was the trailing runner, getting his secondary lead. Guerrero broke for the base as the P delivered home. Somebody on Toronto's bench saw something on one or both pitches of the PA to that point. Not to deflect blame off of France, he needs to be situationally alert, but Borrego, the first base coach, needs to be helping him when he see's Guerrero break to the base with the pitch. https://www.mlb.com/video/bowden-francis-ball-to-brooks-lee-jogbdn
  5. Poor execution of the right idea, pitch was way too low to try to lift a fly ball deep enough...
  6. Not deep enough to send Correa, Watkins needs to learn his runners a bit better...
  7. Dobnak getting the ball in St. Paul today...
  8. Average days missed - 73, median days missed - 58; looks like 2 - 2.5 months to me. Stewart and Ryan were both season ending injuries in late July and early August, so their time missed would have been longer the days indicated on the chart. I would be surprised if we see him before the middle of August. Might be time to see if we can package Julien, Miranda, Martin, etc... for a SP.

  10. Will the Twins be pro-active and place him on the 60 day IL immediately, allowing them 40-man flexibility or will they wait. I understand it's a mere formality to move a player from the 10 or 15 day IL to the 60 day, but given the 8-12 week time frame I am just wondering how they will move forward.
  11. I keep getting confused as to whether articles like this are satire,,,
  12. France passes the eye test. Offensively he's on pace to meet or exceed everything Santana did last year (except HR's) and defensively he rates out highly by OAA, runs prevented and all the other metrics.
  13. While trying to remain optimistic about Lopez's injury, a look at FanGraphs injury report of pitchers with lat injuries indicates a minimum of 6 weeks before even starting a rehab assignment, so best case scenario we're looking at an early August return. SWR pitched last night, he got knocked around a little, and, as of now, Festa is scheduled to pitch today. Maybe fly Festa out to Sacramento to take tomorrow's start, allowing Ober, Paddack, and Ryan to pitch the Toronto series on an extra days rest.
  14. Maybe a Paddack and Larnach package deal...they're both due to regress...
  15. 4-6 with 3 2B's, a HR, 3 runs scored, 3 RBI and 3 BB...pretty damn close
  16. This Butler dude has really turned into a royal PITA...
  17. Right shoulder tightness for Pablo...usually not good
  18. Announcing his presence with authority...(Meat!!)
  19. A's outfielders are bad, but nice for Lewis...
  20. HP Ump struggling a little bit tonight...
  21. The replay showed he threw 3 warm-up pitches, possibly a leg cramp that didn't loosen up.
