  1. Abreu hit a good pitch, the previous batter should have been out to end the inning, Wallner bringing his ABs to the field with him.
  2. Twins LHP afraid to throw strikes to LHB, not a good thing...
  3. Then bring in the next guy up. Should be no free spots on any MLB roster.
  4. What a concept, prospects coming into MLB that are MLB ready (Anthony)...
  5. Wallner looked completely lost on that play...
  6. Looks like the pitch was on the corner or at least close enough, have to swing and try to spoil it. Even better when it falls in.
  7. And we will get to see Gasper with the big club for a couple of more weeks...
  8. Sox Duran is trying to improve his value, either to his team or in a trade...
  9. Coulombe shaved his beard, giving the Yankees the go ahead to trade for him...
  10. Rocco left the kid in a couple of batters too long...
  11. Castro not helping his trade value this inning...
  12. Another CF with left ribcage soreness.....(sarcasm (I hope))
  13. It was a good inning, but everyone other than Martin and Keaschall was basically going station-to-station, just like the big club. And Sabato K'd (chased up, out of the zone) with the bases loaded and 1 out, just needed a flyball...
  14. Saints off to a good start against old friend Devin Smeltzer...
  15. Twins finally named Ohl as the SP for tonight's game...
  16. FWIW, the Athletics just placed Wilson on the IL after he got HBP before the ASG and has not played at all since Friday; Twins not the only team that play wait and see....
  17. Not obsessing over it and definitely not saying build around it, but having the bunt in your "tool bag" is not a bad thing, especially for the faster, lighter hitting guys. And maybe to the beat the shift once in awhile.
  18. And we shouldn't, unless its to vote on who gets a bobblehead give-away during the season...
  19. Shouldn't both players be showcased so to speak against Boston, the competition, if the Yankees are interested?
  20. Hrbek had 15 career sacrifice hits (bunts), Puckett 23, Gaetti 32, Reggie "The Straw that stirs the drink" Jackson 13, Lou Gehrig 107, Babe Ruth 114, Dave "King Kong" Kingman even had 16. Earl Weaver's "3 run HR" teams regularly sacrificed upwards of 70 times a season (even after the implementation of the DH). I know these are covering several different eras and "styles" of baseball, but the bunt can be an important part of the game, even from your big HR/RBI guys. I know outs are valuable, but so are runs, and runs win games.
  21. C'mon, Provus said it looked like a strike from the booth....(based on the other strike calls I'm sure,)
  22. The object of many team's desire just left the Tigers - DBacks game: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/07/eugenio-suarez-headed-for-x-rays-on-hand-after-hbp.html
