  1. The concept of "a #4 starter" or "a #2 starter" is a pretty meaningless way to look at starting pitchers. Wins and losses count the same no matter if they come from the guy who started opening day, or started the 5th game of the season. Starters should be looked at in terms of how they perform, not which day of the week. Every team wants the five best starters they can get.
  2. We're not talking about successful hit attempts. The data suggests the Twins can't successfully make an intentional OUT at a .500 rate. Which is pretty astounding.
  3. Why wouldn't a "long sit down" with Molitor have happened LAST off season?
  4. I'm 99% sure the first one was a H&R. The second a straight steal...which should be rare with Rosario. He's not good at it. I don't think a H&R with Buxton at the plate is wise either.
  5. PJ Fleck is the greatest coach in the history of the world. Hire him away, Falvine. Row The (Twins) Boat!
  6. I wish someone "with access" would ask Molitor about all the sac bunting.
  7. The wasting of outs is just terrible. The Twins gave KC 4 free outs, and playing the infield back in the 1st with 1 out gave KC their first run. And that's not even mentioning using Boshers before Rogers. Terrible managing from a poor manager.
  8. I actually don't hold it against Molitor that Pressley, Boshers et al didn't get the job done. He has precious few good options. There's tons I dislike about Molitor, but the bullpen construction is on Falvine.
  9. Well, lot's of em got some experience tonight. In one inning.
  10. He stays on a one year deal. He's better than Adrianza.
  11. I had the same impression, he did it on his own. I still hate the play...Polanco should know better (as should Molitor if it came from the dugout). All he did was leave it up to a struggling Rosario against a LHer and then Buxton with two out. Nice win though.
  12. And then stomp on their grave Sat and Sun
  13. way to go, what's-his-name!! winnah!!!
  14. If what's-his-name blows this save I shall be verrry put out.
  15. I thought Mauer was going to get forced at third on that hit to left.
  16. We just got a base hit on an 0-2 pitch. knock me over with a feather.
