  1. Disappointing, but QB play was always going to be an issue this year, and I'm hoping the play calling was intentionally vanilla. I think they'll get better as the season progresses in both areas.
  2. If Duffey was still OK to pitch to Moss, why take him out? If he needs to come out, why let him pitch to Moss?
  3. Mrs Chief just got home, and she's pretty downhearted. They laid her off from her job at the clock factory today, just like that. And after all those extra hours she put in.
  4. Most of the KC roster is playing for their next contract. I'm guessing they want every AB against the Twins bullpen they can get.
  5. My mom lived in a big "senior" development before she passed, and I know I should have visited her more often. It's not that I didn't want to , I just have this overwhelming fear of those type of huge, overengineered apartment buildings. A sort of a complex complex complex.
  6. I wonder if KC doesn't feel the same. EDIT: get this ribeye, Rosario. EDIT: uffda
  7. It's interesting how other teams trade for starters, but not the Twins.
  8. This is not on Molitor, not on Gee. It's on Falvine.
  9. I'm shocked, shocked to see Moustakis drill that.
  10. Make that: Gee seems...very hittable.
  11. Timely double play. Gee seems...hittable.
  12. Third world problems. I kid, I kid...
  13. Hambone (bowling): the act of rolling four consecutive strikes in bowling Happens to me all the time.
  14. My belief is if there is a real difference, it's that somebody convinced him to throw his four seam FB more, and throw at the top of the zone. Hitters have to respect the increased velo, which helps keep them off his pedestrian two seamer and slider.
  15. That's not good. Not good at all.
  16. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/26198-official-scoring-questions-for-stew/page-3 Ashbury has taken the time to look up the applicable instructions to official scorers. Believe it or not, this is covered. And it's a single.
  17. That's a fair point, probably true. I'll concede it, but also suggest that may be more a publicity issue than a popularity one. But overall, I believe the exceptions prove the rule.
  18. Not everyone believes Jeter's GGs where entirely undeserved. He was a good, reliable SS. Always in the right place, never made the wrong play, strong and accurate arm, not prone to errors. Range challenged but not to the extent of current urban legend.
  19. Just because there was one egregious award given in 1999, doesn't mean it was a popularity contest then, either.
