    Well I don't like it either, but they clearly feel it's better.

    They clearly don't put a priority on stolen bases. Not sure how many times this has to be said. They never pitch out. They rarely throw over. They don't pay much attention to runners. Their pitchers dont vary their timing. Their catchers concentrate on setting up for framing, at the expense of throwing. That's a choice they have said they prefer. They have said they do not believe in a slide step for their pitchers. They prefer to concentrate on strike outs. This isn't me saying this, it's them. Might be good, might be bad, but the organization doesn't place any value on stopping a runner game.

    Easy caught stealing if Alcala even bothers to look over. He took 3 steps before Alcala even started his motion.

    Well then do it once. And they do it almost every GD game. Most Every team. If they're going to shift make them play without a SS.

    It doesn't even have to be a good bunt. In fact, the harder the better. Arenado was giving some token respect with no strikes. At one strike, he's playing a deep shortstop. There's literally nobody there.

    The refusal of LH hitters to accept a free base hit with a hard bunt toward the vacated left side is just maddening to me. I'm at the game. If Kepler gets any kind of bunt fair towards 3rd he could walk to first. But no.

    I had the opposite experience. A good friend dared me to ride one of those spinning bullet rides that go around like a ferris wheel. Just two cars, one on each end of a long pole. Caged in. No way out. Round and round, spinning rapidly at the same time. My friend lost his cookies about half way through the first rotation. It all stayed in the car, in a space the size of the front seat of a prius. Buckled in. For about 2 minutes worth of ride. For some reason I've never forgotten that.

    Your first post said it wasn't desperation, and wasn't optics. I disagree. It was made for optics. The alternative is to believe the FO thinks Richards is an upgrade. I don't believe that. I KNOW Rocco doesn't believe that, as evidenced by his usage. Just swapping out one arm you'd rather not use for another.
