    But that's just it. Arizona DIDN'T trade their top prospects. They traded flotsam and jetsom. Lotto tickets. The first guy is maybe slightly intriguing, but so what? Every team has a half dozen similar lotto tickets. And the second player is minor league roster fill. I don't trade Walker Jenkins unless I'm getting a player in return already at Walker's potential. But outside of those truly special talents, give me proven MLB talent every time.

    I'd make that trade without even blinking. Miami got little or nothing (not "Keaschall") for the best or second best LH reliever available (not "an average lefty"), with 2 more years of control. Neither of those "prospects" are worth an actual MLB asset. Winning in MLB. And winning now, is what matters. Prospect rankings mean less than nothing. There will be a different set next year. And the year after. It's exactly how bad Teams get and stay bad. Always dumping assets for shiny trinkets. Lather, rinse, repeat.

    Don't really care what Cleveland does. Except that present MLB players end up worth more than prospects way more often than the other way around. So I hope they don't "go for it." Hoard those prospects, Cleveland. I do care that AJ Puk isn't a Minnesota Twin though. Why isn't he?

    Facts not in evidence, your honor. And I'd be willing to bet any potential playoff manager will happily let Rocco insert Margot into a game at the expense of Wallner or Larnach. In fact, they'll purposely work Rocco to ensure that happens, just like it does now.

    Margot is a substandard outfielder, period. He's a poor hitter with bad defensive chops. He adds nothing. Even as a "lefty killer" his OPS vs lefties isn't as good as you'd want, or can find. That's compounded by the fact he's often inserted as a pinch hitter in the middle innings, which results in additional PAs later in the game, which almost always come against RH pitching. At the expense of a better hitter. And for the record, he has only 106 PAs against LH pitching all season. He has 114 PAs against RH pitching, ferpetesakes. It's a wasted roster spot that should be taken away from Rocco so he can't use him.

    You've posted this nonsense before. It's false. In fact, it's just the opposite. Opposing managers manipulate Rocco into a PH by Margo on purpose, to get better hitters out of the game.

    I think the problem here is you're assuming Castro gets a hit. The research is pretty clear cut. One run wins? Bunt that guy on second to third. And I'm a guy who hates sac bunting...in just about every circumstance. Extra innings, at home, visiting team didn't score?     They're not adding anything by getting someone back off the IL. Those players are part of what got the team it's current record. They're accounted for. Getting Correa back from the IL isn't anything at all like a trade. Correa already exists as part of the Twins.

    Players play. They can't chose when/if to succeed. Managers have 100 percent control over their own decisions. Youre comparing apples and oranges. When a player repeatedly fails, he gets replaced. I ask for the manager to be held to the same standard. And for the record, the only person who came on thr game thread AFTER a walk off win to slap down other posters was you.

    LOL. Just admit you created a strawman out of whole cloth, ferpetesakes. Nobody...NOBODY...said what you claimed. And for the record, they DID manage to overcome several quite questionable managerial moves. Just because players sometimes fail doesn't mean managers can't also fail.
