  1. I don't see that as relevant to the Twins chances of winning a WS.
  2. It's not unlikely the Twins can outbid them. It's unlikely they will outbid them.
  3. Puk pitched his second scoreless inning for the Dbacks today, striking out the side to preserve a 2-1 7th inning lead.
  4. Gonna cost more than that. Way more. But do it.
  5. Why the **** do we always insist on not playing our best players??
  6. There is no player option after 2025. He's signed through this season, with a player option for 2025, at $30m, half of which is deferred. And he'll almost certainly opt out of 2025, barring catastrophic injury. For all practical purposes, you're getting a rental owed $5M.
  7. I place little to no value on 99 percent of prospects. 98 percent of these 99 percent never make any significant impact, and trying to predict which of the 99 percent end up being the 2 percent is damn near impossible. I would be very reluctant to trade Walker Jenkins. Anyone else, for proven MLB talent? Do it. You'll have another De Los Santos or 3 next year.
  8. Why hasn't this happened yet?
  9. Lots of rumors over at MLBTradeRumors.com Just not any involving the Twins.
  10. Maybe because as a reliever Puk has a 2.08 ERA, a 0.748 WHIP and a 5.5 K/BB this year in over 30 IP, a solid track record over multiple seasons, and 2.3 years of team control. His four starts, where he got shelled in a role he clearly wasn't cut out for, heavily impact his season stats (ERA almost 10), and lead to wildly erroneous evaluations. It doesn't matter anyway, because Falvine were asleep at the wheel and he's now gone. Cheaply.
  11. They're still using UZR. They changed out the range factor OF UZR. They didn't stop using UZR.
  12. Disappointing effort on several levels. Get em tomorrow.
  13. "Still, no arm moved in the next handful of days will hold a candle to what Stewart is, including Tanner Scott." Heh. Twins Daily at its best.
  14. Neither are likely to provide any real help.
  15. Phillies get Estevez. Boston gets Danny Janssen. Twins get "it's just like making a trade."
  16. Stewart throwing only mid 90s with little to no command. He's showing nothing like last year. I haven't liked Okert all season, so nothing new there. If he wasn't left handed, he wouldn't be in the big leagues
  17. Paging Mr Puk. A. J. Puk. He did? Oh. Never mind.
  18. There is absolutely zero excuse for letting Baez hit a ball hard. None. He's among the 10 worst hitters in MLB. 3 percent walk rate. Swings at literally anything.
  19. Small sample size, but Stewart hasn't looked at all like someone who can help much, in any of his appearances so far. I've been saying all summer, expecting him to be a difference maker was always iffy. He's never been that guy outside last year.
  20. LoL. That's not gonna do it. Try Jenkins, Lee, and Raya.
