  1. Merrifield and Laureano are the kind of reserves good teams fill out their roster with. History of performance.
  2. I thought the first of those--watching Alcala turn a 4-0 seventh inning lead in Texas last Sunday into a 4-5 deficit, while Rocco picked his nose in the dugout--had potential to change the season. So far...
  3. It's also the 3rd of 3 lefties in a row, which of course sets up well for Atlanta to get them all out of the game any time they choose.
  4. With Blewett, Richards, and Henriquez all going multiple innings last night it was almost inevitable at least one of them would be replaced today. I'm surprised it's only one. I'd imagine one of Henriquez or Blewett will be gone once Tonkin's flight touches down. Blewett went 3 IP, let's guess him.
  5. After last night, Wallner in 20 PAs vs LH Pitching: .235/.350/.529
  6. Thanks. I've searched and searched...can't find anything other than this article.
  7. It's at least as scintillating as the article author's "analysis." "Moreover, Baldelli's ability to manage a diverse roster filled with veterans and young talent alike has been a critical factor in the Twins' sustained success. His focus on maintaining a balanced lineup and rotating players to keep them fresh has paid dividends, particularly in the long, grueling MLB season." lOL. That's not analysis. That's empty platitudes.
  8. That's dated Aug 11. He had a "setback" at some point, and latest reports have him "working toward" sprinting. Last I recall hearing he wasn't even wearing spikes yet. https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-twins-carlos-correa-plantar-fasciitis-steven-okert-mlb-ryan-jeffers-brooks-lee/601130492
  9. A team serious about competing doesn't have Kyle Farmer batting 5th. BTW, You have the wrong team listed as "reeling." Atlanta had won 6 of 8 and 9 of 13 coming in.
  10. Honest to God it's not his fault but he's already one of my least favorite Twins ever.
  11. A team batting Kyle Farmer 5th isn't better than I think.
  12. It's also the foot that caused two teams to back out of contract offers after a physical.
  13. This is not Nam, Donnie. This is bowling. There are rules.
  14. I actually don't think it was going to be a DP. Too slow, and Julien didn't charge the grounder at all. But obviously plenty of time to get the force. I, too, think Julien's defense is a little better this year, which isn't saying much. I doubt he'll ever be even average. He's stiff, with stone hands. That's almost impossible to refine past "acceptable."
