  1. Sure feels like it. The other teams seem to know when the Twins have a hit and run on.
  2. Argh. Was gonna buy you one for your birthday.
  3. Zuk sure made Carrasco work. 11 pitches.
  4. So you're a no on our only All Star?? For shame. Cone of Shame, even.....
  5. 1 - 2 - 3 inning! Gotta love how Big E stepped up after last inning.
  6. Bad throw on a chopper in front of him. Rushed the throw. E8 on the year.
  7. and Sano spikes himself while spinning around
  8. Wow, 2 really fast innings. Erv is on fire!
  9. Joe Mauer scored on a flyball to short CF? World must be ending.....
  10. Not fair. Arcia's never been a leadoff hitter.
  11. OK Mauer! THREE MORE OF THOSE ! please....
  12. Nunez hitting .331 as Twins leadoff hitter this year? w00t!!
  13. Thanks. ESPN site doesn't give the batting order numbers. So they could be jerking us around on the Indians batting order.
  14. Cleveland must be in OT (Obtuse Time) timezone. No lineup yet. Twins Lineup 1. Eduardo Nunez ® SS 2. Joe Mauer (L) 1B 3. Miguel Sano ® 3B 4. Brian Dozier ® 2B 5. Max Kepler (L) RF 6. Kennys Vargas (S) DH 7. Robbie Grossman (S) LF 8. Kurt Suzuki ® C 9. Byron Buxton ® CF EDIT: Found it on ESPN site: C. Santana, DH J. Kipnis, 2B F. Lindor, SS M. Napoli, 1B J. Ramirez, 3B L. Chisenhall, RF Y. Gomes, C T. Naquin, CF R. Davis, LF
  15. Kevin Jepsen has resigned with Tampa Bay. Don't know about his boy Elroy....
  16. Last word on Buxton was he had a bone bruise and should be ready to play.
  17. I question Ryan Pressly. He has probably the longest delivery by a relief pitcher I've ever seen. He has problems repeating it consistently. And I think we know why the starting staff has stunk: the veterans the Twins signed [to give MiLB starters time to mature] were bottom of the basement signings, in terms of talent. No other starter wanted to sign with the Twins.
  18. I'm watching progress, more than anything. Any moving of veterans may not happen this year. I think the highest sought after Twin may be Suzuki. Teams will over look his defense after his new found offensive surge. E. Santana has had one really great start. In a few more, he could be highly sought after. Between now and the end of the season, I'd like to see another rush of MiLB'ers for audition: who's close to ready, who needs more time. I could really care less about this season's record. I want to see progress and that will need to come from the MiLB.
  19. I'm wondering: what's the percentage of middle / setup relievers that become +closerswhat's the percentage of late season acquisitions that are successful in playoff pushwhat's the percentage of late season acquisitions that stay with that team and are successful next year"If you live in the past, you die in the past." Mike Ditka, circa 2008 “The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed." William Gibson, circa 2003
  20. "played both sides of the ball in college." A ball is round. There are no sides :-) Saw a couple of his appearances in Spring Training. It's not just heat, it's easy heat. Forget about the MLB debut. Stuff happens. I'd give strong consideration to working Chargois into the Twins bullpen after the AllStar break.
