    The Twins as an organization are the ones putting the importance on slugging. Martin is just one of many examples where they changed his swing for more power. When he went back to his previous swing is when he started having more success.

    In the big picture it was a bad decision, the more AB's up here, the better the benefit for next year because ERod will be up here next year. Yes I do agree he should have broken camp. It feels almost like Zoll is using a dartboard in making his moves, there is no plan to them at all.

    And Martin is in the lineup today for Jenkins.

    I still would like to see if an offseason of work would help him in the OF, With his athleticism, it should offset some of his shortcomings and I just don't like putting a 23 year old at DH with his profile.

    Kremer needs to be the first one out the door, not the one kept around. He is a #6 starter at best.

    Clemens is not an outfielder, they just keep trying to force it.

    There were AB's available the last two weeks. They chose not to give them to ERod. Larnach and Bell could have easily rotated at DH.

    And Clemens who got more AB's a couple of the people mentioned above had a horrible August until the last week and he gets no mention.

    The career minor league numbers for Ross and Kriedler are actually very similar. And Kreidler with his .181 batting average in the majors has shown he isn't a major league player. Why aren't you giving the same opportunity to Ross. I am not saying he will be successful or a bust, but if you are going to compare minor league numbers as the basis of comparison than Ross deserves as much of a chance as Kreidler. But for this FO, they perceive Kreidler as a vet and give him preference even though he has not done anything that says he has earned it. This is why we keep riding the mediocrity train.

    I've said this before, I didn't agree with the way they cut payroll. But Falvey was not a low level employee. He had to know some of the business headwinds they might be facing, He seemed to always seem to want that big contract just like he did with Donaldson. This is not the way the Twins had ever operated, so he took a gamble and tried to go big rather than operate within the constraints of the market and historical operating practices and he lost. It might have worked if he could have developed players better to fit in around Correa but he didn't. And I noticed, you conveniently didn't mention Cleveland who has operated with limited resources and act accordingly. It's easy to blame ownership, but I look at the people making the day to day decisions and Falvey failed this organization.

    I am pounding that drum on almost every comment I am making. Ten years and one playoff win. It's been basically the same staff in the front office during this time period, they haven't gotten it done.

    And if this front office stays intact, it will be more of the same this offseason. They will pick up Bell's option and maybe sign a borderline RH hitting OF that will take AB's from Jenkins and ERod. And they will keep Kremer and Ober in the rotation. Another 85 loss season incoming if no changes are made.

    They could've easily sent Kreidler down and kept Ross. At least give him a few games to see what they may have going into next year. You know what you have in Kreidler and it is a DFA candidate.

    And yet they keep Jackson, I guess the other bench guys really did need a cards partner. Zoll can't manage a roster, if Tom P. doesn't move on, I have no idea what to say anymore.

    It's basically been the same FO for the last 10 years, I think they have had their chance, time to give someone an opportunity.

    And in three years Falvey couldn't come up with a plan to address the reduced spending. It is not all about money.

    I wouldn't lump in Ryan with Falvey. Ryan wasn't as successful in his second stint, but he knew how to identify talent on the field not on a spreadsheet and made more good signings than bad. And he knew the market he worked in and operated accordingly. Falvey wanted to operate like he was in a bigger market than he was, he didn't live in reality and operate accordingly, imo.

    But yet other organizations can do it. This front office has had 10 years and it is the same year after year, use your resources to sign a league average at best vet who is not a needle mover and then block the development of younger players. They have had no real plan and it shows with only one playoff win in that time period. How people can continue to give this FO a pass I don't get it. When the payroll was cut like it was, I get it for that year, but good executives know how to build a staff that will help them pivot.

    That is true, we have an idea, but not the complete picture. But are you to going prioritize Roden who is going to be 27 over Jenkins, ERod, Gonzalez, or Mendez. Not to mention the potential guys in AA.

    I didn't agree with the direction that the team took at the trade deadline. But we are all assuming that we would have gotten this great haul of prospects setting us up for the next 10 years. This front office has had 10 years to do that and haven't done it yet, what makes us believe that they would have been successful this year in any trades made. Zoll could've cleared some of the outfield jam and still kept the mantra of being competitive and couldn't even do that. I am hoping the day we are eliminated, Tom P. announces he is searching for a new POBO. And the new hire can clear the front office and set a direction for this organization. Otherwise it will be more of the same.
