  1. In my opinion the Twins have two chances at landing Ohtani - slim and none. I hope I'm wrong...
  2. The Twins could resign Colon and then sign Darvish. Darvish would be a "spring chicken" compared to Big Chubby! In all seriousness, it will be interesting to see what the FO does...
  3. According to the Twins web site, Santiago elected free agency, similar to Gee, Colon and others.
  4. Seth - you are one of the reasons many of us follow Twins Daily. The insight you and other provide is terrific. Thank you!
  5. And that is a GREAT thing, and why this team had such a dramatic turnaround this season.
  6. Bremer in general is pathetic. Thumbs up to Molitor for getting Perkins in one last time.
  7. "They have won 23 more games already this season than they did last year." This is what I'm totally blown away by this season...
  8. When the Twins drafted Buxton, I was hoping he'd turn into a player of Andrew McCutchen's caliber. Defensively it appears that he has exceeded that vision. Now that he has picked it up offensively, he is getting close to that caliber of player.
  9. Seeing Granite's diving catch and gritty defense reminded me of another fan favorite who used to wear #8 for the Twins.
  10. I feel Rooker's ETA is a bit aggressive, but would love it if he progresses that fast. I had a feeling the pick at SS would be a tough / "split" decision. With Gordon, Palacios, and now Lewis in the fold (and Polanco exceeding expectations on the MLB Club), the Twins should be solid at that position for years to come.
  11. I was longing for Josh Willingham to pinch hit last night, fondly remembering that bomb he hit off of Chapman several years ago in Cincinnati.
  12. Drock - I noticed that as well, but the skid has been bad the past 9 games. Since banging out 5 hits 10 games ago, Gordon is just 6 for 39 (a .154 average), and has is average down to .277. Perhaps he is wearing down a bit as the season winds down.
  13. Great to see Trevor Hildenberger getting higher leverage opportunities and succeeding. The Twins need him to be another solid option late in games.
  14. I agree. GREAT to hear that Jay was able to throw yesterday. How long before Moya's name starts to get added to those who might be able to help in the Twins' bullpen? Is his ETA 2018, 2019?
  15. What - no one has mentioned that Seth broke out of his update slump? Lets hope this turns into an update streak!
  16. I'm conflicted on letting Gee start in Mejia's place if needed. The Twins have needed, but have not had, a solid long reliever all season, and have finally found one! Gee has significantly saved the bullpen twice since he has been called up. There is much value in that in my opinion.
  17. Anyone have any idea as to Perkins' velocity yesterday? I'm assuming it is not good given his stat line.
  18. This game gives us a glimpse of what life might be like without Kintzler, and it is not pretty.
  19. Glad to see that Enns has already had TJ - a must, it seems, for Twins pitching prospects.
