  1. Would Mic Able make this list if he were eligible? Possibly not, given the criteria of this list.
  2. It's time for Roden to be promoted. Outman got the golden sombrero last night and his average dropped to .077. Roden's BA is .304. His OBP is .529 with 10 walks and only 3 K's and his OPS is 1.007. Culpepper is chomping at the bit with 3 HR and .294 BA and .927 OPS.
  3. If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands. Clap, clap.
  4. I wish Bailey Ober well. I'm sure no one is more concerned about Ober's performance than Bailey Ober. These players are human beings, like you and me, with hopes and dreams, fears and doubts, success and failures, families and friends. They are not race cars that need engine tweaks to increase speed. I say we cut them some slack and cheer their amazing talents and constant efforts.
  5. After striking out 5 times (it's called a platinum sombrero) yesterday against the Rays, it's back to the drawing board for Wallner.
  6. I thought Shelton did a good job of subbing. Especially when he let Bradley pitch the 6th inning. Rocco would have never allowed that.
  7. You are correct. I was just reminding all that a top pick is a gamble. My post was a poor attempt at warning not to get too worked up over a third pick. Sorry.
  8. Tyler Jay (6), Keoni Cavaco (13) or Kohl Stewart (4) would be my top 3 choices.
  9. This says so much about the Twins' constant failure to advance runners and hit behind runners. Someone please listen to me!
  10. A 162 game season is made up of a combination of series of "small sample sizes". I did not want to get off to a poor start this season. These March/April games count as much as the games in September...and maybe even more, psychologically..
  11. I guess the Twins feel that Marek Houston needs to work on his hitting at a lower level, rather than at AA. I hope Houston hits well and is promoted to AA quickly. The Twins need his fielding at SS.
  12. This is so sad. Maybe if the Twins would move to North Carolina, hope for the Twins will spring eternal in the human breast. In other words, "You don't miss your water until your well runs dry."
  13. Hindsight is 20/20. However, it is possible to learn from mistakes. And there were quite a few mistakes by the Twins during this series, without enough runs scored (by whatever means) to make up for these blunders. Mistakes will happen, but when they do, the rest of the team needs to use the mistakes as incentives to play harder and smarter. Pick each other up.
  14. I am really high on Marek Houston due to his outstanding fielding at the key position on the field. It is my hope that his hitting improves so that he will be at least average for a major league SS. He does not have to hit like Bobby Witt, Jr.
  15. Buck has spoiled us as far fielding in CF. I assumed Jenkins would take over CF when Buck slows up dramatically. But if Jenkins is graded out as 55 in fielding, with his best OF position being a corner position, the Twins may want to draft a really elite CF in this draft. Who is the best long term CF prospect in this years' draft? 18 year old Jacob Lombard might be a the best choice. He is ranked # 4 in this year's draft class. He is currently playing SS and is 6'3" 185 lbs. He throws and hits right-handed. His father and brother (George Lombard and George, Jr.) are known baseball players. The reason I am proposing him for CF is due to his 65 rating on his run game. It is the highest rating of any of the top 20 draft prospects for 2026.
  16. Very mature performance by Bradley. He gutted out a long first inning and got back in there and threw smoke the rest of the way. He needs to trust his stuff and get ahead in the counts.
