    Looks like he's more in a closed stance in 2018 thus flying open more than 2017. Unintended consequences of that stance maybe.

    I will be surprised if Polanco is anywhere close to what he was last year. Two reasons why; 1. No PED', this year. 2. Not only no spring training preparation but way behind pitching by missing 80 games. He is not going to just resume where he left off.

    Why no talk of not trying bunting more? Speed is his best asset. Create some tools to get on base. The only stat that should matter with him is On base percentage. Then he impacts the game offensively. He should lead the league in hit batsmen, walks and bunts!

    When Buxton,Rosario and Kepler were coming up and playing in the AZ fall league Buxton was even then way behind those two. Couldn't figure out why he was though of as a good hitter. Kepler looked the best then Rosario then Buxton who was a distant third. Gordon in the fall league looked as good as Kepler. That league is a pretty good barometer. I would bring up Gordon, That kid can hit!

    What's the over under on any given night on total hits with these 4 bottom hitters?

    Awfully hard to contend without major league depth. Grossman, Adrianna, Wilson and then there is Buxton.

    Hmm mm, Sano Gets hurt in 2017 Escobar fills in and Twins take off. 2018 Sano gets hurt and "Mighty Mouse" fills in again and Twins take off. Correlation or causation?

    to be an elite team you've got to have depth that is quality Major League. Our payroll provides minimum 4AAAA players. Escobar gives us that but he now is a starter. We have no outfielders that are of that quality to replace injuries that are inevitable or days off for rest. Nunez and Escobar would have been what's needed plus a 4th starting outfielder/dh that is right handed.

    Buxton for Grossman and I am not sure about Sano. Mabel for Petit's spot. Until he stops striking out so much. He like Puig and they had to move him down in LA.

    Joe Mauer is the only first baseman in MLB without a home run and only one other thing 1st baseman has fewer RBI'S. he is part of the problem.

    It appeared Hildenberg had a rough spring. Send him down to get it worked out. These games count.

    Heard his nice interview on MLB channel this morning he talked about his back injury and the effect on him last year before he went on the disabled list his piches were were breaking across the plate because he was not able to finish and stretch out the last part of his delivery normally they break down not across the plate and he attributed that for the Home Run problems after the disabled list he came back and did not have that problem. He was very excited to be coming to the twins.

    The key to the Twins moving forward from here is going to be this front office. If they are really good at talent evaluation they will trade prospects for pitching and/or free agents. Everybody does these things but only a few have success. The last regime was not good at pitching evaluation. If these guys can hit on their moves we are in the money if not ..... Let's hope these guys are stars then good things will fall in place.

    Just read an article listing the most disappointingly player on each team and what caught my attention was that the majority of them were pitchers who had promising seasons then Frizzeled out. Trading position prospects that are highly rated for pitchers do not seem like a good bet. Any thoughts?
