  1. The Pohlad boys make a profit whenever they sell it. They never paid a dime for it so I don't think they would care about paying back the state a high percentage. But,my thought is that they will not sell the team anytime soon as long as they keep raking in over $100M+ in profits every year. That is just simple why make let's say $600M right now by selling the team when they can make the same $600M in 4 or 5 years and still keep ownership. Why sell the goose that lays the golden eggs?
  2. Have you stayed at a Holiday Inn lately?
  3. I was wondering if there was anything new about Aledmys Diaz and his issue with his age.
  4. I thought the Twins games were supposed to be aired on 96.3 FM. The first 2 games have not been broadcasted, but I found them on AM radio. What really confuses me is that the Pohlad's own 96.3.
  5. I'm just happy that Scott Baker didn't resign with the Twins since he is now hurt.(what a shocker).
  6. 3. The Braves will win the AL East with pitching... Not Hitting. No chance the Braves will win the AL East this season. Absolute zero chance of that happening. But, I would give them pretty good odds to give the Nationals a run for the money in the NL East...
  7. I was wondering how long possibly into the season will the team that finally signs Kyle Lohse have to give up draft pick compensation? I mean if he is still unsigned and strikes a deal on May 1st does he still cost a pick? Or would it be that after the draft there would be no compensation?
  8. Thank you, that was exactly what I was trying to say. I am not saying who is going to turn into another RA Dickey but I would rather have him on the club than Kevin Correia for $5M a year.
  9. Can't any team claim him if they want since he is not on the 40 man roster? How messed up would that be if he got straightened out and was picked up by another team.
  10. I just think Hicks needs some time at Rochester and to also to delay the arbitration clock. It kind of reminds me how the Twins screwed up Carlos Gomez by bringing him up to early instead of helping his development. Also, when Santana was traded the Twins seemed like they needed to have a piece of the trade in the majors to make them look like they got a good trade. So by dealing Span & Revere they probably feel forced to start Hicks to show fans they knew what they were doing by making both trades.
  11. Or are you saying since he hit 3 HR's today he is a lock to be the next Mike Trout. One last thing anybody remember that great spring training Nick Blackburn had? hmmmnn
  12. It would not be a terrible mistake too start Hicks in Rochester. The terrible mistake should refer to the Twins secret little plan that they started cooking once they got Target Field and have slowly slashed payroll every year and want you to believe they care about winning more than making extra money... Teams should not be clearing near $100M after expenses and put out a crappy team that is expected to be the 3rd worst team in MLB in 2013.
  13. Les Straker could almost make the rotation now.
  14. Maddux 2.0? Really, come on man. totally different pitcher and let him do it for more than one season and the you can still never compare the 2.
  15. So are you telling me that Boston & NYY know how to use the system but people think the Twins don't need to?
  16. Gardy & Terry Ryan would be the first that come to mind.
  17. Not to be negative, but if the Twins are contending with this team the end of the world must be near.
  18. They should be headed to Rochester for a while to keep the ARB clock from starting. Why would you waste service time when the Twins made it clear with their off season moves that this year will be another repeat of last year. Let the poor Pohlad boys save some more money...
  19. I will defend his numbers a little for him, look at the line up he has in NY and their approach is to let guys try to hit bombs. If he came to the Twins instead of the Yankees Gardy would have turned him into a doubles machine and he would have hit 14-17 HRs with the Twins...
  20. Wow, that just made my night. I laughed pretty hard when I read that comment...Shame on me...
  21. You are missing the point. It does not fit for RP to be compared to starters with those stats.
  22. I am tired of this garbage stats that are more suitable for starting pitchers. K/9 and BB/9 are not right for guys who throw 1 inning. Why can't we just make them what they are so they make more sense. K/1 and BB/1. Just my little insane take on the K/9 and BB/9 that just makes no sense for RP's...
  23. How would Thome teach young hitters to spray the ball around the field and try to hit doubles? The Twins is not broke so Mr. Thome cannot come to fix it. But, maybe Molitor can hire him when Gardy gets his early walking papers.
  24. Quick question for you Jeremy, how did last years predictions compare with the actual results? I am in no way trying to be a pain. I was just curious how things turned out compared to predictions.
