  1. I am not sure I believe he has signed. If Thrylos broke the story then I would feel a little better about this statement.[h=1][/h]
  2. I am curious on how much money the Twins have remaining to spend from the International budget. My bigger question is what could they get in trade for the rest of their budget? It might net the Twins a better prospect if it would be included in a trade(Carroll).
  3. Exactly!!! In 3 years he would be the best pitch to contact pitcher for the Twins...
  4. Absolutely no chance of this happening. What does 1 bat do when you have poor starting pitching? Pittsburgh would be a more likely choice than Minnesota. The Twins need their prospects so they can keep the payroll under $65M for the next decade. Cheap Pohlad boys are making their father proud by greedier than him. This organization will never succeed until there are new owners who want to win, not just line their pockets.
  5. Just spend the money and quit being so cheap. With Morneau, Pelfrey, and Carrol(bought out),the Twins will have a payroll a little over $60M. So much for those good old days when Target Field opened and the Twins had $100M+ payroll.
  6. What a horrible organization the Twins are to their prospects. No wonder why so many players improve when they leave the Twins. So a player should stop at second instead of taking a triple? So much for a sacrifice fly to score a runner from third. I can see being upset with Sano but this is just plain stupid.
  7. Stubhub will be very busy the next couple of days before the sellers realize how cheap they have listed their tickets for. Very smart of the Brewers to "give back" the money to the fans. They will probably double their money on concessions and increase tickets sales for a month for a bad team.
  8. Plouffe got hurt when he got hit by a pitch. I believe he was hit on the hand or wrist and derailed his nice streak he was on. The thing besides being friends is that they worked out together. You will never know the facts and shouldn't jump to conclusions but they know the truth.
  9. Will this be Scott Diamond's last start if he implodes once again?
  10. Twins fans don't worry about Sano's attitude. When he makes his MLB debut in 3 years he will have grown out of such things. One thing I didn't see commented about by anyone but there may be some history with the pitcher. Does anyone even know who the pitcher was?
  11. I agree, Shame on you Miguel Sano for hitting a HR. You need to start to learn to play and hit the Twins way. We expect singles and doubles to the gap. Home Runs are a thing of the past and should be saved for batting practice and Home Run Derby's.
  12. I read an article that they are best friends since high school and have been working out together in the off season for the last 7 years. I hate that when players are linked to each other. I feel bad for Plouffe who will be questioned and doubted that he never knew or had any involvement himself with PED's. It was great seeing him and Willingham challenge each other hitting HR's before Trevor got hit and missed time and never regained that pace.
  13. [h=2]3 years from now[/h]The Twins will probably be coming off their 5th 90 loss season. The great news is that Miguel Sano is slated to open the season and make his professional debut. Also, Byron Buxton will be making his AAA debut. Thank god that the Twins will never call up a player before he is ready. Too bad they didn't try that with Carlos Gomez and Aaron Hicks...
  14. You might want to look at the standings 1 more time. They are tied with the Twins both having 41 wins. Great by golf's scoring system low score is best.
  15. Not too bad it only took him 3 years to figure out he made "some mistakes". He got off way too easy and it actually helps the Brewers get a better draft pick next year. He should have to sit out another 20-25 games in 2014.
  16. Thanks Seth. At least someone remembers Brock Peterson. I always thought he had a shot at making for the Twins.
  17. I think it's time for Scott Diamond to get his deserved demotion to Rochester. He has just looked lost and maybe this could be a good time for a wake up call and demote him. Andrew Albers seems like a prime candidate to replace Diamond.
  18. Former Twins prospect Brock Peterson was just called up by the St Louis Cardinals. Peterson, 29, is batting .306 for Memphis, leads the Pacific Coast League with 22 home runs and has 66 RBI in 93 games. Good luck to him.

    Liriano

Only other thing would be away from Gardy...

    Liriano

2 words why Liriano would have not had the same success if he would have resigned with Minneosta. Rick Anderson. Enough said...
  21. If they could have their choice and money doesn't mean much to LA would they rather have Perkins or Papelbon? You would think they would choose the more experienced closer who has dealt with post season pressure.
  22. Gee let me think how much do you think he is being paid this year? He is in the final year of a 3 YR $14.4M deal and then his new contract kicks in to $15M/Yr. I would only take the 8YR/$120M if it meant they took Mauer and hos contract.
  23. But how much is he worth when he no longer catches in a few years? He will not be a HOFer if he has to switch positions full time. Why don't you think Baltimore is being hesitant to give Matt Wieters an extension?
  24. So what you are saying is that Texas should give him a Joe Mauer contract right now.
  25. I am trying to find out how Jurickson Profar was the #1 prospect Pre -3013 by Baseball America? So look at his numbers at AA in 2012. AB H 2B 3B HR R RBI SB BA OBP 480 135 26 7 14 76 62 16 .281 .368 So that means they base most of their ratings of his defense and his arm. If Texas was smart they would put him in a blockbuster deal this July. Not impressed if that is the best you can do.
