  1. I thought we were too busy invading TX right now......* *pls don't turn this into politics, if that happens, my bad.....
  2. I don't know if I'd put Land of the Lost in your queue....... X files or Warehouse 13 (a super light x files type show, sort of) or Torchwood if you've watched enough Dr Who.....
  3. The SP is far ahead of previous years.....so that provides hope to me that things will be better than the last 2 years, but no, I still think, as composed, they are a 88 loss team. It's too early to think differently (for me anyway)......so given they've banked some wins, now thinking 85 loss team or so (as currently constructed).
  4. Let's hope he forces Ryan's hand in 4-5 weeks.......or 6...... So, I'm not totally wrong, or totally right, about the numbers.....but if he does not ever go back down, it looks like calling him up in September is a bad idea. Would you take that risk? I would not. thanks to those of you that politely discussed this part. Appreciated.
  5. I stand corrected......so if they call him up in September, that won't effect which year he's eligible for FA? I stand corrected.
  6. June, or next year. They can't burn a year of control on an Elite player by calling him up in September, that would be downright stupid. I'd prefer June, if he hits well until then. No idea why you'd waste a year of control for less than 60-70 games this year.....no idea.
  7. How the heck does Rosario sit, and someone NOT PART OF THE FUTURE, plays? So. Dang, Disappointing.
  8. I agree it is very unlikely......I just don't think it is zero. let's hope Rosario is so good he at least makes them think about it.....
  9. No idea, but it wouldn't be the first time a MLB team did this, would it? You really think there is a zero percent chance they won't send Arcia down?
  10. I think that depends as much on how they feel about Arcia going back to AAA to learn, as it does on Rosario........
  11. I think it is possible, only slightly, that if Rosario is good on O, and great on D, that they send Arcia down to AAA. It wouldn't be the first time they do that (see, Hunter, Torii).
  12. Correct, I remembered it wrong.
  13. I like that these awards are about performance, not about how good of a prospect a player is. There are other ways to discuss that. Let's just recognize and admire good performance, regardless of "prospectiness"......
  14. Isn't it possible that this is about Rosario, and the Twins seeing what they have (getting more data), AND HAS NOTHING to do with Hicks? Why not just take the move at face value? Why try to read so much back story into the move?
  15. Reading that article. .....makes you wonder why Meyer was not treated that way last year. THIS is what a rebuilding team should be doing.
  16. I find it baffling I am on the defend the FO side......I find the move very sensible.
  17. Or, they really want Hicks to succeed next time he comes up, and they want him to keep working on something. I rip the FO all the time, but I think we should not jump to conclusions about Hicks with this move. There may be a ton of reasons they want to try this, like, I don't know, giving Rosario a taste of the majors to see how HE responds.
  18. Wow. Congrats to him. And, Mr. Hicks, we are still hoping you'll force your way up soon.
  19. I'd say getting Santana back is likely to help them not totally fade in the 2nd half.....or maybe having some options of guys to bring up from the minors that are MUCH better than the options the last two years (of course, they'd actually have to call them up, which they seem oddly averse to doing).
  20. Again, not about options....years of cost control....are you going to burn one for a month? I wouldn't.
  21. Not options, years of cost control.
  22. If you aren't calling up an Elite prospect by July.....I can't see burning a year of control to get him a sniff. IMO, he's either up before August, or it's another year.
  23. I think this is about when Trout was promoted....... I agree this was the plan. Never thought it was the right plan, we'll know a lot more in another 6 weeks or so.
