    I understand your statement, but it's still a choice all those markets are making. I'm asking.....has signing a bunch of mediocre / bad / ok pitchers worked for this team? Maybe it's not the process, maybe it is who they decide to sign that is the issue....maybe the next GM will pick among the mediocre better than Ryan did the last 5 years.

    Easy decisions: O'Rourke Dean Albers Boshers Slightly harder to cut: Santiago (I mean, sure, try to trade him first....) Centeno (bad defense) Harder to cut/trade, but I'd still do it: Grossman (he makes Delmon look graceful) Danny Santana (he does everything, mostly very badly)

    Who do we get to compare the twins to? Clearly not the Yankees, Boston, Toronto, or Tampa , that would be unfair to Tampa. Clearly not Texas. Detroit? Nope. Probably not the As, they are like Tampa. Given the tv deal difference, probably not Seattle. So.... Like three teams?

    the Cubs traded for Arrieta, successfully identifying an undervalued asset, and we don't know they'll re-sign him or not. The Twins traded for May, Meyer, Milone and Worley...and signed Hughes, Santana, and Nolasco (and Pelfrey and Correia). This isn't about an unfair advantage....this is about doing a bad job of identifying and acquiring the correct players, imo. Apparently, the owner agrees. I get it, according to some, the Twins have never had any money to ever sign a big time FA since McPhail left, and the Twins are at a huge disadvantage and shouldn't be expected to be good.

    Just rotate those three around.....and put Polanco at SS with Esco as your utility? That's what I'd do the rest of the year, with Polanco getting half of Plouffe's 3B starts, or maybe all of them....

    I've never once seen one FB post like those you mention, like I said, there is wheat to be found.... I highly recommend Humans of New York (which, you can get on a web site). Their recent work with PTSD and refugees is amazing stuff. Their older stuff where it is just stories is great also.

    the argument being made was.....we can't judge the Twins because they chose HSer, not collegians. Well, that was their choice. Would you like to bet Turner vs Gordon right now?

    Most teams use around 8-10 starters during the year. Hughes won't return, imo. Santiago won't be back, imo. Even if I'm wrong.... I don't get why you predict we won't see a guy who is doing well (dominating?) in AA this year, in the majors next year.
