  1. If I'm Detroit, I try to win next year. KC, MN, and Chi will all be down.....the Tigers still have great players. I think I try one more time with them, and if it doesn't work, they can do what they did 2 years ago, and add great young players.
  2. I would be open to Sano at 1B.....but not thrilled to give up on 3B just yet, plus you have Mauer, Park, and Vargas to play 1B. heck, I'd be ok with Sano at DH full time, if that makes the most sense. It is, imo, bunk that you can't "relegate" someone that young to DH....if he can't field, let him DH full time. DH is a position. But, for now, I'd see if he can play 3B.
  3. Unless you want Plouffe to play 3B, in case Sano can't, I just can't justify him on this roster. Mauer, Sano, Vargas, Park---where does Plouffe really fit...but I think Escobar can play 3B in a pinch, maybe Dozier....I'd definitely try to sign a decent AAA 3B from another system, or ask for one back in trade. Doesn't need to be a great prospect, but needs to be able to play some if Sano can't.
  4. 100% keep: Byron Buxton Max Kepler Jorge Polanco Joe Mauer John Ryan Murphy Byungho Park Eddie Rosario Miguel Sano Mitch Garver Zack Granite Daniel Palka Engelb Vielma edit: forgot Escobar Trade if given a great deal: Brian Dozier Probably keep: Adam Brett Walker Kennys Vargas Stuart Turner I wouldn't keep: Trevor Plouffe (though he's more on the bubble for me) Juan Centeno - Just not that good at anything Robbie Grossman - terrible on defense, terrible. Danny Santana- can't hit, can't field, somehow doesn't run the bases well
  5. We watched ARC, which I believe is a Netflix movie last weekend, really good.
  6. Ah, thanks. Still don't care all that much, but now I care a tiny bit...
  7. No one is claiming Landa and keeping him on their roster for the full year, are they? wouldn't they have to?
  8. Well, I have never watched SP....but 19 year old pretty much has that on whenever sports are not, apparently (he mentioned it last time we saw him from college). Can I be cool by proxy?
  9. What I would do: Locks to keep: Jose Berrios - JT Chargois Tyler Duffey – Phil Hughes – Trevor May Adalberto Mejia Mason Melotakis – Taylor Rogers Kyle Gibson (trade value is too low, new approach might work) Fernando Romero Trade bait, though it has to be a great offer: Ervin Santana – Probably keep: Michael Tonkin—put him in short relief, give him a shot for bleep sake No need to keep, won’t lose sleep if they are gone: Pat Light Buddy Boshers Ryan O’Rourke Randy Rosario Yorman Landa Alex Wimmers Felix Jorge – DJ Baxendale – Lewis Thorpe Jason Wheeler Zack Jones Ryan Eades Williams Ramirez No idea what to do: Glen Perkins – I can’t count on him at all to be healthy. He hasn’t been for three years. I offer some kind of buyout, and tell him to retire and be healthier in the long run.
  10. You put more credence in stuff by people here, than professional scouts?
  11. Jose Berrios, maybe.....that's pretty recent.
  12. Lots of HS kids pitch and play other positions. He just happens to be great at both. He's being considered for 1:1.....this isn't some random guy....
  13. I never said there was....you asked if I'd trade him for 2 guys in AA that were similar to what the Twins have..... I'd also trade him for a top 50 or pitcher and a catcher and another prospect.
  14. I would trade Dozier for 2 SPs in AA that are in the top 50-60 of prospects, yes. Not that you asked me....
  15. I imagine Google will kill it again, and I should probably be buying some.....
  16. Can we have one thread that isn't BS vs TR, please? Pretty please with ice cream on top?
  17. I guess my equivocating on NFLX turned out to be a bad idea! I have really been indecisive lately.
  18. Nice. the stock I own the most of is up massively today......nice that I get to buy it cheaper than market also....
  19. Well, I was responding to this, hence I was responding to the point I thought he was making that Granite shouldn't be up because he'd sit on the bench most of the time, which, assuming Rosario, Buxton, and Kepler are good, is true in 2 years or 3 years also....I don't know how to make that more clear, frankly. "letting Granite sit on the bench most days as a role player? .... and guys like Granite can play every day at AAA to at least start the year?" No place was I actually arguing he was ready.....I was arguing that it was not sufficient to say he shouldn't come up because he'd sit.
  20. KLAW said yesterday that any talk of Gordon moving off SS was ridiculous. Like his opinion or not, he's seen him play, and he's scouted thousands of players.
  21. i hope they do more than 1 thing to make the team better.....do you not think they can do more than 1 thing?
  22. Well, I've been all in on 1 year deals for pitchers for about 4 years now.....so I guess I should endorse signing at least 1.
