  1. Not sure....maybe it is blocked at work, but I don't see the design....anyplace on this post.
  2. I do agree that adults don't need legislation for town ball games.....but that will likely lead to a lot of really bad decisions.
  3. Standing still and doing nothing is also a choice....when a train is coming at you, it is a bad choice. The premise that somehow changing things is more risky is not backed by facts at all. On the literal reading side......no, no one wants them to hire people wholly unqualified for the job that have zero experience.
  4. Berrios has to do more than "improve" next year......he has to take a massive leap for this plan of hope to work. Not a small leap, not a big leap, a leap of moving from giving up 5 runs in 5 innings, nearly every start.....to, what? 2 runs every 7 innings or so to be the ACE type? Is that the expectation we should have next year?
  5. Then how does the team get better in the next 2 years, while he's here?
  6. Trying to find a business excuse for coming back that week......
  7. If they could build the cars as fast as they will the batteries....sure. But I'm not holding my breath, even though I bought more stock when it dropped last week....
  8. You sure? I mean, they give away their patents. They need cash. I think once it is up and running, if they can supply anyone, they will.....
  9. I say when you have cash, invest it. Now, if you pay transaction fees, you might want to save up some before doing so..... Buffet is operating on a different stage than we are. I do strongly agree with "invest in something you know something about", generally.
  10. You mean besides Altuve and Cano also having a shot?
  11. Right, there isn't any real evidence the splitter is worse for your arm than any other pitch. If I was a AAAA pitcher, I'd add the splitter for sure. At that point, you are all in already.
  12. An article on him: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-brian-dozier-put-together-a-season-for-the-ages/
  13. Brian Dozier is a great MLB player, and seems like a decent guy. I just wish there was pitching on this roster, or READY in the minors, so they could keep him. Alas, I don't think there is, and I think he's so good that they can get a haul for him. If it isn't a haul, I keep him.
  14. I agree with this, unless there is any chance he makes the team out of spring training, which I doubt right now...
  15. It's stupid. These are the kinds of numbers that lead to long term health issues in 10-30 years. Is that really worth it? 30+ years of pain and an inability to lift your arm over your head?
  16. I wish I had listened to myself....could have a lot more money right now. But I diversified instead.....sigh.
  17. I admit to considering this recently also, or some variant. But, I have not really figured out what I'd do yet. Guess I should look at it more.
  18. Options are interesting.....I consider them gambling for the most part, unless you are hedging. Workday is also interesting, but IMO riskier.
  19. Welcome to the site! Ever to go a Hops game? I just moved out there, and live close....
  20. Just when I thought we might be nearing the inevitable sell off.....I hope you all bought Shopify! I doubled down on Tesla yesterday after it dropped 5%......
  21. The WSJ called OSU an embarrassment, one of the worst FBS teams around. So, I don't know what you are thinking..... But, unlike some years, they beat a team they should have beaten.
