that wasn't what you posted....you posted that Dozier is part of why they are losing. Stating they should trade him to improve the team overall is a very different statement...
I would consider any of the following: 1. Traded (with other assets if needed) for a very good to great MLB SP who is under 30 and at least 3 years of control left (good luck getting that) 2. Traded (with other assets if needed) for a great minor league SP in AA or AAA and a flyer A guy 3. Traded for a legit CF, who is under 30 with at least 3 years of control left (then trade Buxton for minor league pitching prospects) (I expect this to be met with much derision). 4. Kept on the roster.
And those are only the errors, his range is "suspect" I believe is how you say it in polite company. I'd almost rather have a not hit defender up here, than an OBP guy who can't field.
Well, you would have carried him on the MLB roster next year, or do you think no team would claim him / sign him? And, they basically sold him for around $6-8MM, assuming they don't tender Santiago. Is that a fair price?
Disney just bough a portion of the MLB streaming company...a company poised to stream a lot of other sports, imo. I still like Disney, and yes, ESPN is the only reason they are getting "killed" right now.
Disney is a smaller part of the book, but yes, bad timing that.....I certainly don't claim to be some guru... No matter how hard Amazon tries to do what Shopify does, they can't pull it off. I think they have a model and software that seems to really work, and the market is huge and largely not tapped. I could also see Amazon just buying them at some point..... edit: shopfiy is also a tiny part of the portfolio
that maxim is idiotic. Accepted in business, but idiotic. You should set realistic goals that can be done right, on time, and on budget. I have this argument at work all the time.....whomever started teaching that did a real disservice to the business (and engineering) world.
so just ignore the terrible defense? That part counts too. that said, given how awful Buxton has been, I think Grossman and one of the other guys is on the roster.
If the Yankees can clear out McCann.....and they have all this money....I'd sign Ramos if I'm them. Put Sanchez at backup. But, I can't tell if the Yankees really think FA is wrong/bad/evil now or not.......
I would argue the thing they lost out on was doing something else to fix catcher. It created a "we have a plan" feeling, that prevented them acting in another way. An opportunity cost, as it were (I think there is a different term, I just can't recall it).
Well, if Suzuki is on the 40 man next year, they aren't signing anyone. And, if he's not, then, there you go, they can sign one.....or am I not understanding?
I'd argue those are the same k rates and o swing rates, well within the margin of error, as it were, to judge his process. IMO, he needs to figure out that o rate, I don't know how well that can be taught, or not.
10 and 5 players and NTC players cannot be moved to another team by any means w/o their approval. Is he worth $23MM? No. Is he still better than the alternatives? Probably, yes. Park isn't that much younger than Mauer.....I agree, Sano will be at 1B in a couple of years.
I expect him to be a backup by the middle of next year, and then a starter a season or two after that. edit: expect is a strong word, but I think that will happen
