  1. The genesis of the post you responded to was that the twins should sign Rodon, as he was less risky than CC..... I'd be good with either, but I prefer CC.
  2. Which would you rather sign?
  3. You'd rather pay 130 million for Rodon?
  4. You'd rather the owner keep the money, and not pay players?
  5. Sure, I'd rather have a better pitcher. Can people name an available one?
  6. I'd make that deal 100 times out of 100 if I'm Miami. I would not do that if I'm MN, no way.
  7. Those three easily get Lopez. Probably an overpay.
  8. Sure, but it also makes sense that if you think a guy is going to be good for 8 years, to sign him for 11 and spread the money out. Pretty sure that's what teams that signed the huge contracts this week did.
  9. I would rather like to get Crawford and Bart on the Twins. I'd rather get CC, but Crawford is a good player, if old. And Bart? Worth a shot for sure. Was once THE GUY in the minors. I'd want another minor league player for Arraez in that deal, but I'd settle for just those two, I think.
  10. I'd trade Polanco for him, that would be a steal for the Twins (given their position players and minor league players). So I doubt Miami would.
  11. Rooker isn't a miss? We clearly have different definitions of that. I'm suggesting that the best player at 5 will want number 5 money....but I could be wrong.
  12. How are Rooker and Enlow doing? Remember the excitement here? Ugh. Just Ugh. Draft the best player.
  13. Maybe, but I'm not betting on that and punting the current year with Gray, Mahle, Maeda and others on the roster..... Not adding to this team is giving up on this roster, frankly. I recall when people said the Twins were all set up with Mauer and Morneau.....you just don't know the future health or production of any player. The division is still ripe for the taking. Go for it.
  14. Which two? There are zero stars havable at that price, any year. Also, sign CC and deal some prospects for a legit number 2 pitcher.....
  15. You'd rather pay a pitcher (who I think is older) 180 million over six years? Brave.
  16. So, the owners should keep the money and not pay players?
  17. Tatis will opt out after this year ... They aren't dealing anyone unless they get pitching back.
  18. Where do you plan to get great pitching? It's not like Lewis or Buxton is healthy.....
  19. If he's in the majors less than two years from being drafted, that would be amazing.
  20. I keep reading hitters are safer. Which player was in the majors, healthy, last year, Lewis or Greene? The Twins can't afford to sign an elite pitcher, and no one trades them..... Draft one.
  21. I'm really surprised at the tone here..... The delta in likelihood of stardom at pick 5 to 13 is staggering when you look at the research. This is nothing to be anything but very happy about.
  22. There one great pitcher left in free agency. He wants a six year deal. And several teams are bidding. A trade is much more likely.
