  1. Play Roden at first? Wallner at DH? Make a trade or three? Not sign a guy that was not good for three straight years?
  2. He has a lower OPS than Wallner each of the last three years .... And many of you liking this deal want to get rid of Wallner.
  3. This. If you aren't rebuilding, you should be trying to win. As for Lewis, he's supposed to be a great leader. He's been sold that way since he signed. Let's see what happens this year.
  4. Fangraphs had him the 140 th best free agent, and Minnesota, who claims to have a limited budget, spent 7 million on him....
  5. If he's the DH, he's blocking Roden from playing, unless they bench or trade Wallner.... who should be the DH. If he's the first baseman, good luck to the people near the first base line. So, unless he's the starting first baseman, he's absolutely blocking people.
  6. Not a fan at all. What's the plan? Because there doesn't seem to be one. Dude was terrible 2.5 years and really good for half a year, in the last three years. For a team on a budget, you can't spend money on replacement level guys. Can't wait until falvey is gone.
  7. There are better ways to spend Christmas. Or any day.
  8. Already glad I'm not watching.
  9. They might be toast next year if Parsons misses a year ish..
  10. Truth
  11. Good thing they didn't draft Nix.....
  12. What temp? How long?
  13. Draft Man: How does the top of this draft class compare to last year’s? Eric A Longenhagen: I feel like the top tier is two or three players deep. I bet a couple pitchers emerge in the spring and will join them. Probably a little shallower right now than average.
  14. I mean, the center, both FA tackles, Smith, hockenson can all be gone. Trade Addison. Draft well. Win! 😍
  15. Addison was fine until this year, and I don't think it matters, because they aren't dealing for him.
  16. You're playing a better team. Stop punting at mid field. Coaches really don't understand how this works, other than trying to keep their jobs by doing what everyone does.
  17. Never change, Kirk. Never change.
  18. Agreed.
  19. I'm all in on Burrow.... I think he needs to be traded after June one. Also, if the Jets get him, he'll be unhappy there, but they should also trade for Addison to help burrow..
  20. I agree with some of this for sure.....as almost every prospect reporter said Lewis was destined for 3rd or CF.....almost as the pick was announced. Heck, they kept Martin at SS, when it was 100% clear he'd never play there. I don't get it at all. Doing the same with Winokur, who will never play SS in MN.
  21. Or....they blew up the bullpen because they think RPs are over rated relative to other players, and are more variable year to year, not to tank. In any event, the third pick should be a very exciting player! I'm hoping elite college arm.....
  22. Keaschell just being the same makes him >>>>> than what they had most of the year at 2B (or even first if he moves there).
  23. From Fangraphs: The Athletics’ first rounder out of Arizona back in 2022, Susac was seen as a high-floor selection at the time due to his ability to catch. He has good hands, reportedly works well with the staff, and should be at least an average defensive catcher. The bat hasn’t come along at all, though. Despite decent surface level stats, Susac is overly aggressive, and his slow bat and surround-the-ball swing are unlikely to translate well against elite arms. He projects as a backup or third catcher depending on how much you like the defense. Might a family connection have played a role? Susac is the younger brother of Andrew Susac, who was Giants GM Buster Posey’s backup at one point. — BG Bonus Trade Report: Caraballo, 17, is a physical switch-hitting catcher with power and on base skills. He is not a very good defender yet. — EL
  24. Ya, I don't see how people are critical of this. They got a prospect for 100K. How is that bad?
