    People want to extend a pitcher to his age 36 season? Y'all going to not complain when it's a terrible contract the last two years?

    From what I read on Fangraphs and other sites, teams aren't thinking about next year....they want guys at the deadline that will help them this year. I think they hold him, and then they should deal him after this year. They won't. and they'll lose him for nothing.

    Game threads will be filled with over the top anger bat by bat. That's my prediction. My less confident prediction is that they finish just below .500, as fangraphs predicted, and they lose Jeffers for nothing. No elite rookies debut, other than Rodriguez.

    No way he's a major league catcher next year. Come up as a late season DHor 1b? Maybe, but doubtful. Mid 2028.

    30 million in catchers is a win? For a team that won't spend money? Even if there is a new floor, it will be phased in.

    Bradley and Abel and Morris have all been much better than I expected. Need Abel healthy next year.... Clemens is the biggest surprise to me. I was not a believer in the breakout. I am now.

    I'll wager a lot of money there is at least a 100 game season. But it doesn't matter, they aren't signing a catcher into his mid 30s.

    I don't think any of that shows anything. Neither catcher they drafted will be in MN next year, and you need like 20 pitchers every year.

    The problem isn't having one got that doesn't play, it's having two. In any event, this will resolve itself in a few weeks, imo.

    Under the old system, he might get a Sept call up, but there are less guys now.

    Easily top ten after they sign Lackey. Possibly higher if they sign the HS pitcher. And that's largely from depth.

    I'd probably have Kriedler fill in around the horn, so Culpeper can concentrate on one position and hitting. He's a rookie.
