  1. Not to mention Vazquez, who catches.....not that I like him, but there are a few hundred more ABs. But quibbling over 200 or 1000 or 2000 isn't important to me. It's that he's not good, has never been good other than 1 month, and he's likely the starting 1B next year. I hope he explodes in a good way....
  2. Martin outhit him, outran him, and out played him on D. I can't see keeping a $5mm guy around as a pinch hitter. That's the sticking point for me. He's not likely a starter next year, I'd rather that money go to a C or SS or 1B or 1-2 RPs. He's exactly the kind of guy you've railed against signing for the last three years.
  3. agreed on all 3. Other than the SB....no idea, and a lot of luck is needed.
  4. In five partial MLB seasons, he has one over 0.7 fWAR. One (he has really only been full time the last two years). This year he put up 0.2 fWAR. I can't see why they'd pay him to to do that when they have others available. We agree on a lot, especially not letting him play against lefties before....but we definitely disagree here. They aren't winning squat with him a regular, IMO.
  5. Want to echo the thanks for these, Nick. Wasn't always fun, I'd guess, but I appreciate the work!
  6. I think Ryan is a near lock to be traded....because he's worth a lot, and he likely wants out. Hope to be wrong. I am unsure on Lopez. I think they deal him, but I think they might keep him. I keep SWR in the rotation, and let him go 5. League average starts are just barely higher than that anyway. Abel and Bradley are wild cards to me. If they deal both Pedro and Joe, they are locks. Neither has anything to learn or show in AAA......but they also have Zebby and Ober...... I really don't KNOW what this ownership group wants at this point, but if you made me guess, it would be a LOW payroll for a year.....
  7. If I'm Buxton, and the Twins deal both Pedro and Joe, I want out, but MIGHT stay because of MN being a great place to have a family. If they deal one? Unsure......if his family loves being in MN, I'd want to stay for sure. Great place to have a family. If they deal neither? I'm taking that as a commitment to winning next year, and stay.
  8. 19......ugh.
  9. Bad D, bad baserunning, exactly league average hitting, for $5 million dollars........why would they do that? He's pretty much the definition of replacement level. I just don't know why a team with a limited budget would keep him when they have Outman, Roden, Martin, Buxton, Wallner, Gonzalez, Rodriguez, and Jenkins. They can sign a guy like him for less money if they really want to. I'm guessing Outman and Roden are on the 26 man until May of next year (longer if they somehow start hitting). I agree with all the OP names, other than Outman (yuck, but they traded for him).
  10. This is the part KOC needs to work on. He needs to change his ways until they have an OL and experienced QB.
  11. Definitely a concern. But you have to play him..
  12. At least there is no QB controversy.....
  13. If they can, you know, pass block and pass....
  14. I can't believe they have a shot.
  15. Has there been a successful onside kick under these rules?
  16. Not one draft analyst saw him as a SS. He struggled at third until later this year. I have no issue with that decision. I hope he returns to stardom. I have doubts.
  17. Losing is fine. I expected many this year. Losing to Rodgers sucks.
  18. I'm going with both at this point. But I really have no idea.
  19. As much as I don't blame him given the OL, I do think his plays can take too much time to develop at times. But I'm not watching..... I'll say this in his defense, they can't run an eight or ten play drive with this OL. Home runs are their only real shot.
  20. I was ready to trade him in the off season, but I get why they didn't. Looked like a great trade for some time...... There complete inability to develop OL picked in the mid to late rounds needs to be addressed. Or, really, any players not picked early.
