  1. I don't think anyone thinks he's ready. I've made that clear But he needs reps, in game, to get there imo.
  2. I'm not sure if that's about him playing, or if they don't believe he's good, that's a huge issue for the GM who can't draft? Either way, regardless of his age, he's cheap for six years, one of which is gone. If you think he needs reps to be good, better starting now than year three.
  3. Jackson out until after the bye
  4. He'll never be if he doesn't play. If the coaches believed in him before the year, they have to stick with him. If they didn't believe in him, the GM should have been let go, not extended.
  5. Off McCarthy..... Darrisaw might be the most important player other than Jefferson. They were much better with him out there (no real shock, Skule and Rouse are not NFL players, yet .... if ever).
  6. JJ is going to have to face those tough Ds eventually. I think it is on KOC to run and call quicker passes when he's back. For me, I expect him to play like a rookie, so, ya, both those games sucked. But he'll have a few good games too. He might just get hurt again against one of those Ds though.....
  7. Stale is a pretty good word......they really tried to ride the "almost good, let's see if it works out" train with Polanco and Kepler and Miranda and Julien. The first two getting older, and the next two not working really killed any ability of this team to do anything much. They haven't developed an exciting player (who is healthy) ever under this FO, though MAYBE Keaschell is their first. I don't see a good way out of this. Trading for AAA / AAAA players was a bad idea, imo. Especially if ownership wants them to cut the salary even more.
  8. Both Detroit and the Mets are on the verge of ridiculous collapses. Will either happen?
  9. How is that not interference? Refs handing the eagles this game.
  10. Nacua is so very good.
  11. Eagles get away with so much cheating.
  12. Vikings win last week with any competent offense.
  13. Can't watch, but it reads like the OL still sucks, and Wentz isn't good. Accurate?
  14. Interesting they are bringing back Vazquez. Makes no sense, but whatever.
  15. He's certainly more willing to take chances than Cousins......but that's a low bar. I will say that the week 1 stats would have been pretty good, w/o all the third down drops. Last week? Ugh.
  16. Ryan and Jeffers for Busch, Ballesteros and a mid tier prospect? I don't think Cubs do that?
  17. That's certainly one way to look at it, but it isn't everyone. I remember the Astros cutting their scouts, then hiring them back a few years later when it didn't work. 2018 or so to 2022 or so......I'd argue it is bad that any of them are doing it. But assuming I'm only negative about the Twins fits a narrative, I guess.
  18. Sure, but that's about cost cutting.....if they didn't save money by getting rid of them, they'd keep them. I'm not sure how this is even up for debate. It's cheaper (maybe better?) to use video and an IT person to two.
  19. I think every team is doing this over money.......even the big spenders don't want to spend where they don't have to. These are businesses, after all.
  20. Awesome.
  21. Sigh. I came SO CLOSE to buying Intel last week. Oh well.
  22. Do we think private equity (or whomever gave them this money) cares about winning? They care about money. It's a business. I don't think competitive matters to them at all (or any owner, other than a few).
