    I'm not worried about his hitting at all....and he's more than good enough at it to be a full time DH, IMO.....but that seems like a bad plan. I'm fascinated that so far people don't have an issue, given how this board was split on the Arraez deal......

    Zero people will agree with me.... But I've thought about the team trading him. He should fetch a great pitching prospect plus..... And Lee can take over second. It would be a ridiculously risky move....... That won't happen.

    100% he'll be the best on this list, unless Stewart is fully healthy, then it might be him. Varland should be pitching one inning at a time right now.

    If Martin isn't up today, I can't see it happening. If he's not up today, he can't be on the playoff roster. He should have been up two weeks ago, but having Luplow on the team seems to be their preference.

    He should have been moved already....so yes, agreed. He's not starting this year, but MIGHT be good out of the pen.

    Younger me would say "yes" w/o hesitation. Now? I'd rather have an enjoyable season year after year, than awful teams year after year. I've learned life is a long ride, not a destination. I get others disagree, and that's cool with me.

    to get better in the future and save money.......do you really think they'd spend money just to spite the Twins, based on years of watching CLE not spend money? They did this to try to win. Nothing more or less. Owners and GMs aren't petty children.

    no, they did not do this to spite the TWins. They did it to try to win the division. Seriously. Why would you think they'd flush money down the toilet to spite the twins, based on all their actions over the years?

    If only there was a guy in AAA ready to be better than Luplow right now (or two of them). Sucks big time that Cleveland is MUCH better today than they were yesterday. Yikes.

    Nah, this FO loves its veterans. Also, where are you playing him? Lewis has third and Julien 2nd. If they'd just put Lewis in CF and get Buxton to retire.....then Lee could man third. But I have no idea where Lee plays. First, if AK is hurt again?

    We all wanted the twins to do this with Simmons.... Frankly, I don't know why more teams don't do this. Especially the cheap ones. Especially with the limits on roster expansion.

    If only they trusted Martin. But then, they didn't really want Julien or Wallner up this year. Both came up and were sent down again. They're only up due to injury. I don't get not trusting your own organization..... Julien is surely legit as is Lewis. It's all about health for the latter. I think Wallner is also. I'd have Varland in the pen right now, to see if he's ready for the playoffs, but nope.

    The Hockensin trade and deal shows, imo, good teams should trade draft picks for very good to great players more often. Proven players are way more valuable than picks past round one.
