  1. Oddball Herrera 2:16 Is Buxton cooked at this point? It sure has been a long time since he looked good at the plate Ben Clemens 2:16 Look earmuffs, twins fans yeah, I don't think he's remotely as bad as he looks right now, but the explosiveness doesn't seem to be there The one thing he has going for him is that he's still hitting the ball hard and still running fast.... but like, significantly lower on both coutns than in 2022 I think there's hope for him to be a competent major leaguer and a good defensive center fielder but it does seem like the injuries have taken their toll vis a vis being a true best-in-game star
  2. Agreed. At least 6 weeks.....but I mean, I'd just move him to the big club at that point if he's dominating and Wallner and Larnarch are bad and kepler is hurt/Kepler.
  3. Won some money! We watched WAAAY less than normal, as we were busy (golfing and wine tasting) this weekend. Well, she tasted wine, I picked weeds and caught up on stuff around the house after being out of town. Pretty anti-climatic, and I agree with an article I read that 16-18 should be harder on Sunday (and 17 is kind of lame).
  4. always good to attack a mod.....
  5. Interesting choice to send alcala down.... Keeping their options available?
  6. Stop making me cry early in the morning, or mourning....
  7. Send him to Minnesota.... Just see what happens. .... Not totally serious, not totally joking. Exciting start for Soto!
  8. 6-7 without Lewis and more road games than home....
  9. Sure, but I hated the signing and nothing has changed for me.
  10. I wouldn't be upset if he stayed up and they moved varland to a two inning guy... But I bet he goes down
  11. They just won a playoff series and you want to fire them?
  12. How many relief pitchers in their prime are available? You begged them to add RPs.... There aren't a bunch of 29 year old free agents ...
  13. What are the odds your backup also gets hurt? How many major league backups are in AAA on most teams? Very few. Losing Lee is a blow As for polanco, if I had to trade someone, it would have been Kepler and Vazquez....
  14. Come on. No one thinks seven guys will get hurt. What would you want them to do to get ready for that?
  15. I feel bad for the team and fans. First the owner cuts payroll, then they just keep losing their best players. With their replacements also hurt in the minors..... Just a brutal few months.
  16. He should sue the hell out of the agency and every athlete should leave them. Seriously awful job by them.
  17. I mean, he can't hit as badly as last year.....but I'm not sure I'd say he's earned his money this year (luck or not, it hasn't worked). I expect him (as many of us said in the off season) to be much better than he was last year, given his career. CC? He's great.
  18. Here's the example for me.... Starter goes eight innings and gives up zero runs. Leaves with a one run lead... The relief pitcher gives up a run, and then the team scores in the bottom of the ninth. The starter gets no win.... Even though what changed happened after he left the game. The win stat doesn't tell us anything about how either pitcher did. For all it's flaws, quality start tells us a lot more.
  19. Not sure I get that last part.... Guy pitches seven innings of one run ball, his team doesn't score, he gets a loss..... Other guy gives up five runs but his team scores six, he gets a win....
  20. JJ for number four and their second?
