    If the best manager is 20-30 games better than Rocco, he's 100% getting paid hundreds of millions.

    If only they could control the number of innings, and could play them in MN, and more.... If only Martin was at 2B and not the OF, he might not have pulled a hammy.... I'm done with the FO at this point. It would take a miracle for me to change my mind (I was done when they signed Gasper and France and made France the starter).

    You think the manager costs them 15 game a year in lineup construction alone? Unreal. If a manager was that powerful, they'd get paid a lot more. A lot more.

    I think it is 100% fair to disagree with the decision. But this board is anti science and math over and over "just replace him with a computer" is a common refrain. But, I get it! I really do. I just think a lot of posts here (and in this thread) are misguided at best, and insulting on their face. (not yours! yours is well thought an well written). I have no idea what Rocco is really like in his interactions or decision making. I just don't. I do think, however, that this isn't working and a change should be made. BTW, there were a few people in teh game thread ok with the move before teh outcome......(no idea why I type the as teh all the time, but I'm leaving it to show I'm HUMAN. :) ).

    Sure, agreed. But if the catcher and OF are within a spot or two.......I mean, it's all projections. I 100% want them to take the BPA, but the delta between players is not linear, nor is it known.

    We should have pilots fly without data too! They never used to use it. Maybe computers and phones should stop using data.

    Ya. Baldelli let Rooker go. He also convinced all the other teams to pass on him. Then Oakland only calling him up when others were hurt. All Baldelli....

    I suggested earlier moving him to first.....I'm still good with that, unless they feel he can stick at 2B. I wanted Larnarch moved to first in the off season, and not to sign France.....but yes, risky. No idea how much practice he'd need at first to make it viable. That said, I'm good with him at DH (though I'd consider Lewis at first of Dh also, for the games he's healthy).

    Some insiders made more money today than they ever imagined possible. Look for a big drop and big increase again and again for the next few years.
