    Why do we care about winning this year? Outman hits like Vazquez....... Getting outman to protect this year doesn't help with the mythical rebuild.

    Outman strikes out 40 percent of the time. He's a DFA waiting to happen. They also have Gonzalez and Martin. So, they are getting rid of Larnach and Wallner? And didn't trade them?

    The Rays trade guys for actual prospects, not a 26 yo in A ball with an 8 ERA......but then, they'd never sign a guy to a massive deal. I don't want the Rays, but I get others do. I'm not fully opposed to the CC trade! But w/o new owners, that money is not going back into the payroll, but the Pohlad's pockets.

    ERod is never healthy and Jenkins isn't coming up to start next year. They also traded for two veteran OF, implying they don't agree those two are close to ready.... You can't just build a bullpen with one guy in it right now, or other teams wouldn't year for RPs all the time. Yes, you can squint and see a future..... But it's very high risk.
