    Yup, after what 100 years of it..?.. we can probably expect Rule 10.17 to be changed soon, to allow starters to get a win with less than 5 innings. edit: not that baseball front offices even look at "Win" anymore

    on a related note, I'm really impressed by the lineups. Sticking with the starting nine, all three games, despite the "struggles" the first two games. Traditionally on a Sunday and especially with our previous managers we would see the "getaway" lineup with the bench guys. And today, the bench guys got in the game just the same.

    CBU Update: 0-0, mid first What we learned from the 1-2-3 top of the first inning: - Pineda is big. Also healthy. At least for today. - Astudillo can steal strikes too - Rosario is in mid-season form (hot dogging an easy catch and then dropping the transfer to his throwing hand)

    It’s a designed play. Throw it directly into the Kasota Stone backstop and hope for a good bounce back to the pitcher or catcher, and make a quick throw to the runner trying to advance. I think. Not sure.

    Not sure how much of that was Castro being really good at his job back there, umpire waking up on the Twins side of the bed, or a “reputational shift” acknowledging Berrios as one of the top pitchers now in MLB and giving him the calls. Probably a little (or a lot) of each, and let’s hope it keeps on going!

    That would be the better way to go. I mean, the guy has never played by the rules. That’s part of why he was elected. If the Mueller report says “didn’t campaign by the rules” I mean, how politically explosive is that supposed to be to the electorate? The Russian collusion stuff is just so far removed from normal peoples lives. I think only insiders and junkies really care what happens with this whole thing. It’s definitely worth debating about here, not trying to imply otherwise or throw cold water on it. As always, just my opinion.

    On topic: I don’t think Democrats are truly interested in seeing the full report. Then they would have to do something about it. But do what? Hold Impeachment hearings to remove a president, right before an election that could remove the president just as effectively? Not to say individual citizens wouldn’t be interested in seeing it. I would, myself, for curiosity’s sake. But Dem politicians? I doubt it. I could be wrong. To me, Dems barking about release of the full report just looks like dog chases car, dog catches car. Or, bench coach holds back manager yelling in umpires face, because if the bench coach wasn’t out there to hold back the manager, the manager would be... yelling in the umpires face?

    If that’s how Trump supporters wish to state their case, then it’s important that that be known. Maybe a swipe like that is just an entry into the conversation and will lead to something more substantive.
