    So do I? Fun to watch. I said I thought the hitting would come back to earth, and that I wouldn’t be surprised if Cleveland out-hit the Twins from June onwards. (Which is much different from saying I guarantee Cleveland would out-hit the Twins.) Another poster challenged me on that pretty mild statement... anyway, since this is not the thread for wait-and-see , I will show myself out.

    As I type this, a majority of the roster is OPS-ing over .800, which is well above the league average of about .750.

    Well the thing is, I’m old school. And the old school baseball saying keeps ringing in my mind: “only speed doesn’t slump.” Meaning... hitters slump. Pitchers slump. Maybe even fielding. Who knows. We’ll see. I am enjoying the ride, for sure! Also, I am not sleeping on Cleveland. Huge blow to lose Kluber, but they still have a formidable lineup. I wouldn’t be surprised from June to October they outhit the Twins. So I’m not “believing” yet, but I do believe the Twins have put themselves in a pretty strong position.

    I’m sorta coming around (but still lukewarm) on impeachment. I mean, so many Dems voted and campaigned — and will campaign, depending on the eventual nominee— on Trump being the gravest threat to Democracy in our lifetimes. And according to the two different sets of rules the two parties play by, it seems a little “off” (for lack of a better word) that Dems would win the house in 2018 and then respond to calls for impeachment with shoulder shrug emoticon guy.

    I’m wondering if this isn’t too much of a good thing, watching the Twins this year is like starting on that third piece of pumpkin pie, after two helpings of the big Thanksgiving dinner.
