  1. Ok, that collision* would have been Buxton's fault *not joking, they almost collided
  2. Weren't you going to add a "Ban this poster" button next to the Like This button?
  3. another coin flip, random generation strike zone today I guess it's the same for both sides, so no complaining
  4. No, he's pretty much done as a baseball player. The only question remaining is if he family will come pick him up in the cities or if the Twins will buy a one way ticket for him.
  5. What would you say if I told you he got a standing ovation for NOT striking out?
  6. jee bus..Quintana has struck out Sano AND Park on pitches that weren't called
  7. our two third baseman trying to start a rally!
  8. what's that shadow across the field? Is that the shadow of the new netting they put up behind the dugouts?
  9. Escobar made a throw in the dirt to first that Mauer couldn't handle. Then Esco let the ball slip during the transfer trying to turn a dp but the ump rightly gave him the out. Then Molitor wanted to go out and challenge that it was an illegal slide, which on replay was shown to be the tamest slide you'll ever see. Then, the foul ball...
  10. This is as bad an inning you can have without allowing any runs...
  11. I admit it's a tricky subject. And if Sano gets hurt in right field, I expect everyone to take the same sides. I guess my issue with it is that guys like Schwarber and Sano are so far below average in some people's eyes, and learning on the fly, that some people question whether it's even worth the trouble putting them in the outfield at all. Same offseason debate was going on with the Cubs as here.
  12. Sano? Because he made a running catch with his eyes closed Wednesday night?
  13. I really like the Punto-Sano hitting-fielding comparison, by the way.
  14. with all due respect, where is this magic unicorn site that calls Sano an average outfielder? When you consider that the Twins have played 1 and 2 run games, every play makes a difference. Every out and base makes a difference. Sano really looks like he is struggling out there. You could just as plausibly say that with someone besides Sano in right, the Twins might have 2 wins right now. I'm not sure about the evidence he will improve over time, though it makes sense. But then wouldn't it make sense he would improve over time if he was at 3B too?
  15. I see the strikeout as more of a paradox than disconnect. You want pitchers who can get strikeouts, but your batters striking out is not such a big deal anymore.
  16. In this case I agree. Although Fangraphs classifies balls like that as either remote 1-10% chance or unlikely 10-40% chance to catch. That ball was in the air a long time and certainly not an impossible catch. Fangraphs has both Arcia and Hunter as catching remote or unlikely chance balls like that in the past.http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=10306&position=OF#iefielding Sano is more likely to hurt himself trying to catch a ball like that than actually catch it.
  17. Yeah but as any fantasy football player knows, Phillip Rivers has historically been a second half QB.
  18. Also May was a positive. I hope he grows into the shut down man role because he could be good!
  19. The Adam Jones 2-run double. Just watched the video. I think an above average RF would have a 50-50 chance to catch it, but like people said, it was crushed, it was more of a fly ball than line drive, but it was hit off the wall in right center. But check this out: it looks like Sano actual broke *in* on it. As if it was hit in front of him. Buckle up folks this is going to be ugly!
