  1. I bet Molitor will use a situational closer next year, with Perkins and Jepsen splitting most save situations. Hopefully next year we have another good arm to add to that.
  2. Sano: they should have called him up in June when he had already been mashing a while and the Twins went into that collective slump. In fact I remember some discussion threads asking what Sano might even be worth in a trade. Why leave him in the minors for so long? I was one of those who wondered if there was something wrong with him. Guess there wasn't. Rosario: didn't know enough about him. Twins Daily has really gotten me interested in minor league goings-on, however. (That, and some extra time on my hands in my "old" age.) so Rosario seemed to come from nowhere. He is a plus in the outfield, so much more valuable than Arcia. Which is good, as it frees up Arcia to be used as a DH vs righties. Rosario, if he can lay off bad pitches might be an All Star at some point. Hicks: I always felt he was a bit of a scape goat, maybe still is, but his extended stay in AAA at the start of 2015 was well earned with all the shenanigans surrounding him. If this is the real Hicks we are seeing, wow. Although I think he's hit a little slump here now. Escobar: goes without saying Molitor gave Santana too much rope. There shouldn't be a competition for shortstop in 2016. I also think there could have been a few extra wins in there. Can't get them back though. We can however go into 2016 with a better shot at the postseason, provided the pitching holds up.
  3. I think what will hurt Dougie the most is temperament.
  4. Brent Spiner can't keep a straight face (and I bet they shot that scene 10+ times)
  5. That's not a river, it's Lake Erie. What you are mistaking for the opposite bank of a river is maybe just a huge pile of floating junk?
  6. I just realized Pelfrey is starting tomorrow. That explains why he is not available for long relief tonight . By the way, the Twins do not have a long reliever, so we can dispel that myth. No one tonight pitched more than 2 innings. That is not long relief.
  7. I get your joke, by the way Walking with an intentional gait, because of he.... well, you know.
  8. No, I think you describing Brett's hemorrhoids, chief.
  9. Honestly, if Pelfrey can't get warm in time to come into a game like this when we need him, then he doesn't deserve to pitch another inning for us.
  10. Dozier was also smart enough to file for the "opposite field" exemption, which is only available to Twins in A ball, or to players who file the exemption with the Twins within two years of their first professional appearance.
  11. Was it one of these limbs? http://findingflorida.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/P3200068.jpg
  12. This somehow makes Terry Ryan brilliant?
  13. Thanks, Mrs. Lincoln. (other than Chicago, how are the Wild?)
  14. The present system is better than the one it replaced, where the 4th best team began the postseason on essentially equal footing as the best team. And like other people said, there's no going backwards to fewer games or teams.
  15. I think the Twins could be the Vikings tonight! Mauer could outplay Bridgewater at QB, Adrian isn't even in the game plan so no need to find a Twin to replace him, and anyone could kick or punt as good as Walsh or Locke.
  16. Chris Berman sounds old. He's done as an announcer. Though I doubt Berman is as old as Anquan Bolden and Vernon Davis.
  17. There's some seriously embarrassing Vikings football on ESPN right now if anyone is interested!!!!!'n
  18. On 3-2 count, Tyler Duffey throws a curve off the plate and six inches in the dirt. Command is when the batter swings and misses, Control is when the batter makes contact, Lack of control is when the batter takes for ball four?
  19. Dammit, I keep walking away when the good things happen!
  20. I've only been watching the missed calls. What's the score?
