  1. Don't worry about predicting Buxton would be in the MVP conversation. He'll figure it out. The foul ball off his toe set him back; he should have traveled with the team during his migraines or met up with the team in New York instead of going on that rehab, and I said as much at the time. It would be nice if Buxton was superhuman, unfortunately he's just human.
  2. Mauer to DL This team has near zero credibility when announcing injury updates.
  3. I'm not going to make a prediction, but why do you think this team will look the same today as it will 30, 60, and 90 days from now?
  4. Sounds legit, just unfortunate it couldn't have healed up over the two off days he just had. Deciding it's too bad to play with, while in the on deck circle, is a nice twist. I have no idea which way this team is going to go this year.
  5. Is this true? Update on Mauer from the Athletic: Joe Mauer exited Friday’s game with a stiff neck, the result of a diving attempt at a foul ball last weekend in Anaheim. Mauer is listed as day-to-day but sounds iffy to play in Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers and could potentially miss Sunday, too. ... “I landed pretty hard and had some whiplash,” Mauer said. “Just been coming in and getting treatment and trying to get out there every day, but (Friday) I got out there and it started to stiffen up and get a little worse. I talked to the trainers and coaches and they thought it was best if I got out of there before it got any worse.” “I’d like to be in the lineup (Saturday), to be honest. It might take a day or two. Nothing more than that. I just think I need to let it calm down.”
  6. Also, Gardy's team doing his thing on the Clevelands
  7. Don't worry, little Bobby, that's a home run in July
  8. Can the bottom of the Twins order score a runner from second with no out? Stay tuned!
  9. a tiny bit higher on the bat and that was a monster home run
  10. "Hey!" "Don't compare us to the Twins offense like that!"
  11. Nope, the binding agreement has a clause about "not being ticked if..."
  12. I think that black box is supposed to be a picture of Adrianza packing his bags for Rochester with the lights out
  13. That at bat ends in a home run 3 out of 4 times
  14. Kepler injuring people down the right field line with bullet foul balls... Wait on one buddy! * I don't really like people being injured *** edit. Ugh just missed
  15. Over a two week stretch it's not very meaningful. I'd like to see it continue.
  16. Morrison also failed to make a defensive play in the Yankees series, that led to a loss. Mauer is much, much better in the field. Morrison needs to DH. I am cautiously optimistic for his bat to heat up. But if Morrison can't "get in the game" as a DH then the FO needs to deal with it somehow.
  17. That's a nice sign, but not that remarkable in itself. It would put him about 59th out of 189 qualifiers in that time. But, I hope it continues.
  18. The ball-strike calling was equally poor for both sides. Berrios needs to not let it get in his head, somehow. So, we agree.
  19. Which could be an effect of the bush league strike zone last night, thinking he needs to throw it right down the middle.
