2022 MLB (non-Twins) season news
Hosken Bombo Disco replied to whosafraidofluigirussolo's topic in Other Baseball
Amid all the trade news, MLB dropped this fun video this afternoon, a battle between Javy Baez facing Jose Berrios in the first inning yesterday. In this single plate appearance, Baez goes 3-4 with two homers, two walks, and a strikeout -
Welcome back to the Midwest, Taylor!

My evolving opinion on where the Twins stand
Hosken Bombo Disco replied to Mike Sixel's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
? 1. Kepler is out for the season? Hadn’t heard that. 2. Buxton and Kepler have been healthy all year until Kepler got hurt last week. So that’s two starting outfielders. 3. the plan for the third outfield spot was always to rotate guys and or patch it together with younger players and spare parts. Isn’t that what they’ve been doing? Also if you are putting Kirilloff in this 2-5 best OF group, Kirilloff’s best position is first base, in my opinion. Actually I think their outfield has been healthy until now. (Surprisingly.) -
Agreed. At least one reliever is needed, but I am starting to lean towards acquiring a starter here and hoping this new starter just has a good second half. Imagine going into a postseason series with Gray/Ryan/ and ??? again. And some people might think “how dare you” when I say this, but I wonder if Miranda is playing the best he can possibly play right at this moment. So that might be your best trade chip.

Jealous of all of you who were in San Diego this weekend!
-
That last throw in should have been cut, keeping Miranda at first, and only advancing him to third on the double #fundamentals

Anything’s possible

Only need six more outs!

Oh yeah I had forgotten from the first time you posted it a second ago thanks

Also the Twins are rolling with one catcher right now? Gardy would be rolling in his grave, though thankfully he is not lol
-
Oh my goodness
-
What do you think this is 1964 or something? ?
-
I guess we could probably pitch around Machado here — woops retired him on a 107 mph EV to Center which also works
-
Not a bad Sonny Gray tonight. Some hard contact but also hitting some corners. let’s see what happens here…
-
At least he can field his position! ?
-
That’s fine. I can’t argue. It looked like the RF was making a lazy read on it, is all, and Miranda might have seen that.
-
Horrible baserunning this season but it didn’t cost us there. Looked like Miranda put his head down and took off as soon as it was hit, and that was stupid too. But it fell for a hit.

Load management day coming up tomorrow
-
It’s for this reason that Spencer Steer is my new favorite prospect! (yes I saw him without his cap on at a Saints game recently)
-
So can we assume Sanchez will get a ‘load management’ day off tomorrow?
-
My oh my, that was a leathery 2nd inning for our boys in the field!
