    A better comp for Arlington is Bloomington, I think. Also they used to have a ballpark there, so I hear, but now it's a mall instead.

    I can't help it. Whenever I see Nick Greenwood's name I think of Lee Greenwood, and then I get the song "Proud to be an American" stuck in my head. It's terrible!

    I was surprised in the post-game interview that Kepler had almost no discernable German accent. He sounded downright Minnesotan.

    This team is 15 - 48. (made that up, but close enough) Trade him. Also trade Dozier, Plouffe, E. Santana, and anyone else you can find in the locker room over the age of 27.

    Thorpe has mono? Oof da. PS. I think you mean "walked" here... Wade was the Twins ninth-round draft pick in 2015 out of the University of Maryland. ... Again he shows a very professional at bat and has struck out 22 times to go with 38 strikeouts. He was named a starter in the Midwest League All Star game in Cedar Rapids and could be in line for a promotion to Ft. Myers in the season’s second half.

    Good list. Can't argue with any of it! I especially hope they bring up some young pitchers and let 'em learn the hard way.

    As the Royals (and lots of other teams) prove, good outfield defense is pretty valuable.

    Molitor is way too fond of the hit-and-run. I keep seeing him calling it and it backfiring.

    Yeah I think the extreme defensive shifting is particularly hard on him.

    The #1 reason it would be a good idea is that it would completely spin the way-too-white and straight-laced "Twins culture" on its head. (That's the only reason though...)

    No the issue is that when Mauer and the Twins agreed to the contract it was a fair contract, especially for a home-grown MVP. Then he played very well for another few years, and basically was "worth" the $20M annual salary. Then he got a brain injury. Try explaining this to anyone in Saint Paul...
