    I need some help. I do not understand how ESPN reaches and sets the Power Rankings on a weekly basis. Last week on the day the Power Rankings came out, the Twins, yes our beloved Twins, led the league in OBP (.353%) Walks, and were one run behind the White Sox for the league lead in runs. Yet, the Twins were ranked 27th. REALLY?? I should add I am not under any illusions about how good the Twins are, especially their pitching staff, but can somebody help me with the 27th ranking out of 30 teams, even though the Twins were 9-9? Maybe I am biased, but in my eyes, I seem much less biased the ESPN sportswriters who come up with this stuff.

    I can't believe Meyer didn't get pitcher of the day. Holy Smokes! 99mph and 11k's! When do him and Pelfrey trade places?? Nice to Parmelee hitting like he wants the Twins to trade Kubel or Willingham.

    I must say....I am quite concerned about Mauer's power. Espicially when you hit the pitcher in the junk...he just smiles andstrikes out the next batter.

    I think what is going on here is that everybody who sick of mauer walking in situations where he could drive in runs are being met by folks equally sick of reading about it on a daily basis. It might be time to change the channel for a while

    is it just me oris it crazy that blue jays pitchers have taken 155 pitches to get through 6 innings? Anybody know what the record is for pitches by one team to get thru 9 innings? Is colabello hurt? why pull him in the 6th? is he that slow?

    He won't. This year and next years Twins teams won't combine to go 50 games below .500, if they do, my guess is Gardy won't finish his contract.

    Didnt Bartlett sign a minor league deal to begin with? The Twins can offright him and not pass him thru anything

    I agree.....mostly. I am okay with Gibson making the rotation at the expense of Deduno but I am not ok with Pelfry and Corria making the rotation at the expense of Deduno. However....maybe some trade fell thru this spring for Corria. We will never know. I would rarher see Deduno in the bullpen then pitching for a different organization

    Aaah....once the team remembers its a new season and that they arent playin in Sept 2013 they will be fine....but somebody should pry get that memo out sooner rather then later

    What are Diamond's prospects if he continues to struggle? How long of a leash does he have with two pitchers in AA who should be in AAA already in Archer and Dean? Is the bulpen an option for him?

    I think so bc even tho nobody here generally associates longevity with Mauer i still cant see him not getting 3000 hits

    I wrote a blog a couple weeks ago about this. Believe it or not...things have dramatically changed since then. Maybe. I dont believe Kubal gets traded. He will either stay with the twins or be given his release. Willingham, Corria and Pelfry could all be traded. Plouffe and Suziki are probables. Catchers like Suzuki have value for years so maybe Twins keep him ala Redmond. Burton and Deduno are available. Duensing would be availabke but my guess is the twins would call him in the offseason if he was traded. If he isnt traded my guess is non-tendered and re-signed.

    If he is still available after the draft i think the twins should sign him....if floriman and all other available options are not panning out....which i think will be the case. I also think he should be signed for 2015 as well

    This is really a stretch to find fault. I am disappointed in this particular thread. The Dh's have been raking (Kubal and Collabello) and suzuki has had one of the best weeks of his professional career. Maybe in a month or two this might....might....be a valid argument but after one week? C' mon be realistic. Give things time.

    Gilmartin getting assigned to AA had more to do with Scott D accepting his assignment insteat of free agentcy then anything else

    It would be nice if we could have a thread without somebody blaming Gardy or team management from everything from players provided to management of the game to the post game spread. Everybody understands Gardy and management are not popular. So can we not bring it up on every thread....please? There is always the star tribune for that.

    What about Nola? is it Aaron Nola? From the same school Ryan Eades is from...any chance the twins take him at 5 or is it better to hope he falls to the second rd?
