Agreed Mike on just about all of it. Depending on how May does in relief, he might be a non tender candidate. He’ll be cheap in his last year of Arbitration but with no options and no real track record how can you tie up the roster spot unless he’s dominant in relief

I’d wanna see Kepler play some first and right field. Seeing Rosario play third was interesting, and having him play a little third and left would be good for the future. I too want to see Weil, Austin and Astudillo up and Austin getting some starts at first, Austudillo all over including Catch 30-40% of the time. Wilson, Grossman and Morison out, agreed.

Buxton back on DL, Again.

and assign the roving hitting instructor to rove whereever Buxton goes and nowhere that Buxton isn’t. -
I’m curious about Doogie’s source. I don’t doubt that the clubhouse atmosphere is rough, but the prescription seems odd. Seems like something someone leftover from the old regime might say who has sour grapes, but I don’t really have anything to base that on. I’m kinda disappointed (if true) that Dozier would say openly he’s happy to get out of that clubhouse. I thought more of him than that. I have some concerns over the manager. All this stuff paints a bad picture, especially with his up and down record and how heavily veteran this roster was. I’m interested in how Levine responds in the offseason. How Sano and Buxton mature and respond, how the roster gets supplemented around the core. If Gibson gets extended. If the one year deal trend continues. Levine should be a part of the scrutiny too

I researched my assumption that Adrianza is a better SS than Polanco, and see in SSS Polanco is just slightly below average and a bit better this year than Ehire, for what it’s worth. (UZR150) So I’m back tracking from my original statement. If the plan is to have Polanco start at SS next year, he should stay there.

The Eddie 400 still lives in my heart

I hate to talk about the game, but is anyone else wondering why Polanco and Adrianza aren’t switched in the field?
-
he could pass waivers and be traded in August

the roster spot is worth more than whatever few saves they can eek out of him.

Will Brian Dozier Get Traded?

For Dozier's benefit, or because you're sick of hearing him gripe? -

Thanks for sharing. I hope those little leaguers took advantage of having a very good coach. As for the Twins, I’m not sure. Matheny was fired mid-season because the Cardinals clubhouse got out of control. It got so bad they fired him mid season with a mid-season record over 500 and career winning record over 7 seasons. Nope

Pressly was a loss too, but not huge for this team, and I have contended relievers are fungible and do believe they’ll back fill him somehow pretty well. Overall agreed, Mejia is equal or step up over Lynn, and Austin could be a step up over LoMo
