I cannot see this team paying Baldelli and another manager - he stays on - it is the Twins way. Pohlad and Falvey can have a nice team meeting to figure out how to make a meaningless cosmetic change, but for now, why not let Baldelli struggle with an incompetent and incomplete team and then bring in someone else when the prospects rise and it looks like we have a team again.

Matt Wallner or Travor Larnach?
mikelink45 replied to Alex Boxwell's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Dream on about Rodriguez and Jenkins in the OF which means Larnach and Wallner can be used in DH and 1B roles. Solves a lot of issues. -
If we want a better team in 2026 all five are replaced with better players. SWR is the only one worth considering, but let's hope for better from him and Zebby. None of our young pitchers have looked so good that we could not replace them. Who knows what will be Festa's future? Who knows if Ober is cooked or just needs a reset? Who knows if Abel and Bradley can turn the corner. So at this point all arms need to be kept and the competition needs to be strong. Let's hope Lopez and Ryan can lead them. The others are the kind of players that are fillers on bad teams (I know - that's what we are) but hopefully we will seek better and be better. (I HOPE YOU ARE READING THIS MR FALVEY AND MR POHLAD).

Too early. Maybe in another year but remove Roden and Outman from the discussion. When Jenkins are Rodriguez are ready and push him to left field I will be fine with it but at this point he is still our best bet in center

As I read these Outman seems to be short of a good defensive CF - does that mean we are carrying him for his bat?

Amazing how many see Buxton not taking a trade this year as bad. Thankfully there is some loyalty, but that does not mean that he cannot reassess what is happening. Putting pressure on the team is good - it indicates that he wants to be here with a winner. But if the team owners and FO does not care, he has every right to change his demands for next year.

Disappointing to see St Paul Lose 10 in a row. I know it keep filling the team with DFAs. But I was hoping one of our twin City teams would give us something more to cheer about.

Angels 12, Twins 2: Oy vey...

The question I would pose is not national relevance. We have always been in the second tier there, but rather are they relevant to Minnesotans? Would you take them over the Wild, Vikings, Loons, Lynx, Timberwolves? Has the anger at the Pohlads completely poisoned the well of Minnesota baseball? Are the Saints more interesting than the Twins? I continue to come on this site daily, but it is my love of baseball not this team that draws me.

Sorry but I was rooting for KC. They're actually playing for something and I'd love to see another central division team in the playoffs. And I don't care if the twins now guaranteed not to lose 100. They're losing the season and I don't care what the number is. How they keep stubbornly using outman and Gasper and it just shows that they really don't care either. But Falvey wants to look smart so we will keep using whoever he picked up.

I am beyond trying to figure out what is logical for this team. Outman and Gaspar on the team makes no sense. Half the BP makes no sense. Continuing to hope Julien will hit is a waste of time. Forget the crap about service time. A few games left - let some of the potential prospects get their feet wet in MLB. Yes shut down Ober - what are we waiting for. Let him start over in 2026.

To save More money I heard that the team was going to make the bat boy start buying a ticket to the game.

There was a question posed in this essay about whether we will win another game this season. It may have been in jest but do any of us really care if the team wins any more? Does it matter?

The fact that we pick so high and thought these guys would be stars does not give us a lot of satisfaction with the fact that we may get the number to pick this year. What will you do with it and will it work out.

Please Falvey - I have seen enough of these pitchers - all of them tonight. Give the minor leaguers some experience in MLB and not Davis (18 era), Cabrera, Topa, Adams. Abel and Bradley were your two successes - that is a low bar for success. Abel was too bad to keep up and Bradley has been given a longer chance and has a few good moments, but this is the White Sox. We have lost four straight to the Sox and today we scored 8 runs. Even with this offensive outburst I still think we should give one of our minor league catcher a chance instead of Gaspar (155). And there are certainly better OF than Outman (146). Falvey is just so proud of his acquisitions that he must insist that they are on the team.

It is baseball's problem. Not just the twins. Velocity does not always mean victory. But it seems as if it means injuries look at the list of pitchers the dodgers have on injured list this year and you see some of the best pitchers in the games being shut down. I prefer it when we have pitchers prepared to pitch complete games and relied on guile as well as speed.
