    White Sox win, but the Guardians are down 4-1 in the 9th.

    White Sox winning in the 9th. Twins will have to win today to keep from losing a game in the Central chase.

    Of all the strange injuries in baseball, T-Boning a fire truck riding a scooter and then having it run over your foot definitely tops the list of strangest injuries. Apparently he was also partially drunk at the time. The Giants have suspended his pay as a response to this incident.

    Question of the day: What realistic arm(s) would you most like the Twins to acquire at the trade deadline? SP: Foster Griffin (if the Nationals sell) RPs: Luke Weaver* and Huascar Brazoban *Weaver might be out of the Twins price range as far as prospects, but he would slide into a high leverage role for the Twins and is under team control through 2027. I would definitely be willing to give up high-end prospects for Weaver who is a proven back of the bullpen reliever.

    I think bullpen is still 1a but the rotation is definitely 1b right behind it. Another starter and a reliever and I am happy.

    Solid offensive debut for Lackey, but he did struggle a bit behind the plate with a passed ball and a throwing error on a pickoff attempt. Hopefully it is just rust for him. I am encouraged by the SB and the plate discipline though.

    Gomez, Morris, Minter, Nance, Rojas, Rogers, Anderson, Adams. Love the trade. This really solidifies the bullpen. Hopefully we can get 2025 and early 2026 Minter because he was one of the best in the game. Get one more reliever and a starter and I will be thrilled.

    I think the reason that Larnach is considered expendable is because of all the outfielders waiting in AAA. I am not in favor of trading him unless they are blown away because of how much he means to this years club. Trade him this offseason. We need his bat this year. The value they will get won't be that different now or in the winter.

    Everybody tune in the Fort Myers game starting in a few minutes. The starting nine includes 5 2026 draft picks including Vahn Lackey and Carson Tinney making their debuts.

    The Twins bullpen in this series went 9 innings, allowing zero runs and striking out 10. The bullpen and the rotation really saved the Twins in this series. If they gave up a couple more runs, neither of the two walk-offs happen.

    Seriously, though the Twins need to figure out their offense. Hopefully that Kody blast helps turn it around, but they scored 1 run in the first 8 innings of the games in that entire series. Doesn't matter. A win is a win. I am amazed they still won two out of three. Go Twins!! Buy!!

    I think I would have rather seen Houston get called up than Tristian Gray. That guy can hit.

    That is what makes baseball great. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day.

    We haven't homered since the Cleveland series. I'm not denying the offensive struggles. I think that the the offense needs a jolt and calling up Jenkins when Buxton went on the IL might have provided that jolt for the Twins offense.

    Dobnak had a 1.42 ERA coming into this start. The Twins are not the only team that has struggled against him this year. It was a bad offensive day all-around, but days like this do happen. The Twins can still win the series and bounceback with a fresh bullpen (thanks to Rojas) and Ober on the mound.

    White Sox are down 4-0. This could be a big win for the Twins to make up a game on them. Gotta get the offense going though. No homers in the last 4 games, 5 including this one.
