  1. Gotta love the honorable mentions, and there were quite a few of them as well!!
  2. I'm hoping Vielma can force the Twins to debut him next year. This is a guy I would like to see in the Arizona Fall League.
  3. Career MiLB fpct: SS 932 3B 933 2B 967 He belongs at 2B or converted to OF (He has 73 innings in the minors in the OF and they haven't tried him there since 2012 so there may be a reason for that too...)
  4. How about Dereck Rodriguez? In his last 5 games he has gone 6-7 1/3 innings each time allowing a total of 7 runs. He has struck out 20 and only walked 8 for 3 wins and a tough luck loss.
  5. It depends on if you're asking how many players are traded or actual trades occur. I think there is a good chance Suzuki and either Kinzler or Abad are packaged in the same deal.
  6. Centeno sent to Toronto Minnesota Cryin' without Ryan, no one buyin at dead line
  7. And Poof, there goes Plouffe! XXXX lower the bar, trade for for Escobar. Minnesota Sour on Mauer. Trade for Power
  8. You are exactly right. We have 39 on the 40 but two of those (Perkins and Hughes) are out for the season and do not count so we have room for 3. ATM I would hold off in case a Dozier or Santana trade brought in multiple guys that were on other peoples rosters. (I.e. -1 trade dozier, +2 prospects already on 40 man but not 25 man rosters. And a Dozier or Santana may get more than just two if someone is desperate)
  9. Elizabethton! Our only organizational loss of the day. *face palm*
  10. And now it has Eduardo and not Adalberto And ours with Adalberto on Our 40 man roster http://m.twins.mlb.com/roster/40-man/
  11. Thank you for the honest explanation. I thought it was weird and out of character with everything else you guys do here so I wasn't offended but I was confused. I REALLY appreciate all you guys do here to make this the premier Twins site.
  12. Very good start. Let's do this again every night through Monday...
  13. This is San Franciscos 40 man roster tonight with our newest pitcher on it. Look quick, it may be different tomorrow. http://m.giants.mlb.com/roster/40-man/
  14. He was on San Franciscos 40 Man roster so he has to be on ours or designated for assignment if I understand the system correctly.
  15. Confirmed by two other sources https://mobile.twitter.com/MillerStrib/status/758851835406848000 http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/minnesota-twins This was the right move. Now he needs to get his playing time.
  16. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/mlb/7624/jorge-polanco
  17. Hey, I started a thread 21 minutes earlier... I've been hi jacked by Seth! JK Can the two threads be merged?
  18. Lol, NO!
  19. So is Polanco on his way up?
  20. Nunez really grew on me this year. Enjoyed his all out effort and seeing his helmet fly off as he rounded first. THANK YOU EDUARDO NUNEZ FOR MAKING THIS ROUGH YEAR A LITTLE MORE ENJOYABLE!!
  21. MiLB scouting report from SF prospect page http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2016?list=sf Scouting grades: Fastball: 55 | Slider: 50 | Curveball: 40 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 55 | Overall: 50 Mejia received the highest bonus in the Giants' 2011 international crop, signing for $350,000 out of the Dominican Republic. He pitched a career-low 51 1/3 innings last year, the result of a 50-game suspension for testing positive for stimulants and a bout with shoulder tendinitis, but pitched well enough in Double-A and the Arizona Fall League to earn a spot on San Francisco's 40-man roster. Mejia often pitches in the low 90s and tops out at 95 with sink and tail on his fastball, though at times he'll dip down to the upper 80s. His slider and changeup can be solid pitches on occasion, and he has the aptitude to vary the break on his slider. He also can mix in a curveball for show. There isn't much effort in Mejia's delivery, and he's doing a better job of repeating it and maintaining the quality of his stuff and command. He'll need to watch his conditioning because his 6-foot-3 frame carries a lot more than his listed 195 pounds. He most likely will fit in the No. 4 slot in a big league rotation.
  22. For AdAlberto Mejia of Giants http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=606167#/career/R/pitching/2016/ALL
  23. While agreeing that I would have liked to see Berrios up by now the anonymity of the Internet should not embolden us to use terms like ineptitude and stupid to describe the jobs real people are doing behind closed doors after decades of hard work to hone their craft. They are obviously not inept nor stupid even though our outside amateur view of their work seems to indicate their work is flawed. It is always easy to judge things from afar when we are not in the midst of the every day, 8-12 hours a day discussions of these things by MANY involved professional baseball men and women who really know what they are doing. As a fan of the game, I do want the management types to know that in this lost season of frustration, I am waiting for a "Berrios is starting" game before I cash in my daughters promise to take me to the game of my choice. Berrios and the hope for the future is what will get me to the stadium to pay for Tickets and not much else.
  24. Polanco, Beresford, Reginatto, Wiel, Dean, Gordon, Vielma, Arrietta, Wade, Jay, Stewart, Gonsalves, Garver Not that I would want to trade certain ones among our lists but all of these may intrigue some other teams with greatly varying potential returns and there are more that could be listed. We do have a lot of talent in the minors but after them are LOTS of lottery tickets. I used to see Vavra as roster filler but he has become a lotto ticket as well.
