  1. In 50 at bats in Fort Myers, AJ is hitting 260/327/460 which are similar to his final CR numbers 262/346/415. He has 5 two-baggers, a triple and a home run resulting in a higher slugging number but otherwise quite comparable.
  2. Wade has played every day in July so far. In his first 8 games in Fort Meyers, (SSS warning) he is hitting 370/419/481 with 3 doubles.
  3. Valera was sent on a rehab assignment to the GCL Twins on June 24th. He got into the game that day and had 4 official at bats with a 1 hit (an RBI double), a walk, 2 strike outs, a stolen base, and a run scored and I have heard nothing since. Maybe he's hanging out with Alex Meyers on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean.
  4. 221/294/355 in 262 at bats. If your looking for positives, he has almost twice the number of walks as last year, 24 to 13. In the field, JJ has played all but 9 games in RF with 5 errors and a .951 fpct this year and a career .943 in right. JJ has also played at first 8 games defensively which makes little sense with his low slugging numbers. He still only has that one game behind the dish. JJ had one real nice year in 2014 in Elizabethan where he hit 321/361/440 for an 802 OPS. He needs to refind that mojo soon or he may be playing his last year in the organization. FWIW, that's the only year he played exclusively at Catcher.
  5. FWIW, Kihle's debut in Fort Myers was not in yesterday's game. He played in the second half of Thursday's double header going 2-3 if my memory serves me right.
  6. Love the premise, enjoyed the read, agree with the rankings, look forward to discussion below and future rankings.
  7. With the addition of Park, Rochester lost Vargas who leads the team in RBIs and is second in Runs Scored. The additions of Palka and Mastroianni resulted in the releases of Wickens and Martinez, So there is a net gain of one power hitter plus a proven AAAA player over two non contributors. Rochester was already in the playoff hunt with AB Walker as you mentioned, so this gives them that playoff push potentially and, I agree, a team that could be fun to watch. I just hope Palka can gain more bat control in AAA than Walker has shown this year. While fun to watch the home runs, you can only have so many 45% strike out guys on one team. Park on the other hand has not been THAT strike out prone. While I hope Palka and Walker remain in AAA the remainder of the AAA season, I hope Park can bust out, show those two how it's done and get himself back up here as the guy we saw the first month of the season.
  8. Hitting 104/232/104 in 48 At Bats, Ibarra has not done much with the little chance he's been given and now he's on the disabled list.
  9. Sean is Now batting 275/293/388 spending significant time at 2nd, SS, and 3B. No offensive stats are standing out to me, just looks like a solid bat that doesn't take many walks (6). He has an overall fielding % of .983 which is pretty good on its own but at 2nd base, he has 167 innings, 94 balls hit to him and 1.000 fpct. His SS fpct in 103 chances is .965 with 4 errors and as a 3rd baseman, he has had only 70 chances in 232 innings and 4 more errors for a .943 fpct.
  10. I think it's premature to "give him a look" at the MLB level. Maybe a September call up but only if he can show improvement and that he is making adjustments. His K rate has risen with each promotion and he can't be striking out 50% of the time in the majors. I do agree with the idea that he should get a look if he continues to be clutch but then he might just end up as a pinch hitter type. I could take a young Jim Thome off the bench...
  11. AB is now hitting 231/305/469 in 273 at bats for Rochester. These are all career low numbers. What is up is his K rate of 45.8% vs his previous high last year at 38.8% of the time. His Walk rate is up to a career high 11%. Last year he was at 10.2%. Even with all this negativity, Walker still ranks 2nd on the team with 42 RBIs to Vargas' 53 (3rd best is 26 RBIs) and he is third on the team in runs scored with 36 which is only 2 behind Vargas but 13 behind Beresford. Walker has played exclusively in Left Field all year with 3 errors for a .964 FPCT. He has 4 outfield assists.
  12. Year to date slash in Cedar Rapids is 277/365/313 which are career highs across the board. For a guy that has played almost exclusively at 3rd, you would like to see higher slugging numbers. He has only 6 extra base hits, all doubles. He has only two errors on the year so his defense looks promising.
  13. I've scalped 3rd row tickets from season ticket holders day of as I walked up to the door for less than half price. With the team so far out of contention, it will be easier than normal to find really good deals on really good seats. Keep all your options in play and watch for that opportunity.
  14. If Santana is worth a couple midrange prospects, wouldn't Santana and a couple mid range prospects be worth a top prospect? Sweeten the pot. Massage the deal(s).
  15. Found the transaction. Released Saturday.
  16. I'm not finding Wickens on a roster today... He may be one of the cuts.
  17. 244/322/472 currently as a Minnesota Twin. Those numbers don't excite anyone but given that he was at 209/306/302 less than a month ago is some great news. Take out his first 12 games and he's hitting 252/333/505 on the year
  18. Paulino stepped to the plate 25 times in the past month. It's hard to put up numbers when your watching Murphy get all the at bats. 227/294/293. Will he survive today's promotions?
  19. Tovar is in a slump batting .100 over his last 10 games dropping his ytd batting average from .254 to .237 over that span. His average has dropped .035 over the past Month and his triple slash is dropping right with it. His slash is now .237/291/304 dropping his OPS under 600 on the year. He has swiped 21 bases with only 4 Caught stealing. That is only 3 steals in the past month. You have to get on base to steal another base.
  20. These all tell us that there are 3 moves yet to come at AAA and two more at Chatanooga if I have my count down correctly.
  21. First, Mike Berardino reported Felix Jorge being promoted to AA from FM. Jeff Johnson reported Sam Clay's promotion (taking Jorge's spot in High A) and Daniel Kihle also moving up to FM as well. Next, Seth reported Cavaness' tweet that he is returning to CR (Kihle's replacement) Jaykay reported Palka getting promoted from AA to Rochester. Then Seth reported that Tyler Jay moved from FM to Chatanooga as well. Then Seth posted this: Posted Today, 09:56 AM Based on some more conversations, tweets and more: Daniel Palka to Rochester. David Martinez released. Edgar Corcino, Tyler Jay and Felix Jorge promoted to Chattanooga. Omar Bencomo to the Disabled List. Sam Clay, Miles Nordgren and Daniel Kihle promoted to Ft. Myers. Max Cordy, Andrew Vasquez, Casey Scoggins and Christian Cavaness promoted to Cedar Rapids. Christian Ibarra to DL at CR.
  22. Kihle is batting 259/318/316 in 193 at bats for Cedar Rapids. With only 2 homers and 5 doubles,he has shown only limited power ( as shown by his slugging). He has 50 K's to 14 walks so there is some plate discipline to work on there. He has 5 of 7 successful steals. This is a lot of mediocrity to be honest but It has already been reported that he is being promoted to Fort Myers. Stats can only show so much and apparently he has shown enough for a move up the ladder. His defensive stats are very good with only one error with most of his time coming in LF. Maybe this is where he showed the greatest readiness for Fort Myers.
  23. Though only hitting 235/350/235 in 17 At Bats in Elizabethton, apparently he has tweeted that he is going back to Cedar Rapids. This appears to be more about filling a roster spot than promoting someone truly ready but hopefully this time around will go a lot better...
