  1. If you can't use a reliever in a high leverage situation, he shouldn't be on the team. Agreed: this guy has cost the team a few games already and it's not even May yet. Banda's either lost it, or the Twins don't know how to use him. Either way it's not working out. At all.
  2. They are who we thought they were. A bad team folks.
  3. Keep it simple: You play good? You play more. No need to overanalyze. Occam's Razor says play him, so play him.
  4. Gray looks like he should be an every day player...but lately, Lee has stepped up and we've got to find a place for both of those guys. An every day infield of Gray, Lee, Keachall and Bell should do the trick. Lewis looking more and more like the odd man out. Outman should not be on a major league baseball roster. Cut your losses and DFA, if he gets claimed so be it. Taj Bradley is the Twins POTY so far and I don't think it's close. Dude's been amazing, hat's off.
  5. Take a picture: Over .500 4 game win streak 2nd place We may not see any of those marks again this season, folks. Soak it up and enjoy.
  6. Unforgivable that they didn't get Mick that win today. Twins are now over .500 with a 4-game win streak. Could be the last time we see either of these again this season. Enjoy the high-water mark while we're here!
  7. Twins score all runs in one inning and can't do diddly squat otherwise. Seen this movie before. Lucky Bradley was on tonight. This offense is horrible. Great to see the Twins get a split in this series.
  8. Skubel tonight? Yikes. Would be over the moon if the Twins can somehow split this 4 game series.
  9. Listless, lifeless, uninteresting and uninspiring. This has to be the worst team to watch in baseball, I can't imagine there's anything worse on TV than the Twins at this point.
  10. Boy this Outman should be out, man. Awful player, washed up and washed out. DFA.
  11. So the Twins gave up the best closer in the game for a bum starter and some teenage catcher we might see in 10 years? Wish they'd have fired Falvey BEFORE the trade deadline. What a clown that guy was. No scouting ability whatsoever.
  12. My neighbor and I just watched it fly over the skies here in North Central Florida. Pretty cool. Thing was COOKIN'.
  13. An embarrassing loss that will be one of many this season. The Twins can lose games that they're ahead by 1 or 2 runs. But to lose a game with a 4-0 lead is unforgiveable. Teams like the Twins just can't afford to give away games that are gift wrapped like this. But they do. Looked almost like a carbon copy of one of Rocco's losses. It's not the manager, it's the players. I remember Morneau's quote when Wallner had a 3-0 count early in the game. "With a 4-0 lead, he's gotta have the green light here, he might park one out on Utah Street". Instead Wallner took a strike down the middle and the booth went silent. He eventually struck out. No fire. Same old Twins. Rolling over. Uninterested and uninteresting.
  14. Wallner's the most overmatched cleanup hitter in the game. Dude needs a one-way ticket out of town. Gimme Walker Jenkins ASAP and get this underachieving Waller fella off the old squad-aroo.
  15. Let GG get a real shot in spring training and give him a spot in the starting lineup if he earns it.
  16. When the Twins rebuild, they don't "reload". They spend about a decade at the bottom of the standings. Get ready for some bleak years ahead folks. This is the most uninspiring hire at manager since Ray Miller.
  17. When Cole Sands is an arm you're desperate to hold on to, you've got problems.
  18. They've given him plenty of opportunities. No more. We know what Trevor Larnach is, we've seen it. We're getting 20 homers, a .240 batting average, no speed and a passable OF glove. There's literally zero risk in giving the job to a rookie as we break camp in March. Thanks Trevor, good luck elsewhere.
  19. Good for Jorge Polanco, who hit a walk-off single to advance the Mariners to the ALCS last night. The Twins/Mariners trade that sent Polanco to Seattle is looking more lopsided by the day: Justin Topa is below average and has spent more time on the injured list than in the bullpen, Anthony DeSclafini never pitched for the Twins. Both of these players join Sam Dyson and Tyler Mahle on a growing list of injured pitchers the Twins have traded for. Gabriel Gonzales is the only hope the Twins have of salvaging anything from this trade. He's 21, finished the year at AAA, and currently ranked as the #8 prospect in the Twins system. Right now his ETA is 2027. Meanwhile the Twins have question marks all over the infield. Everything hinges on Gonzales being a major contributor in the future. Otherwise this trade is going down in history as another fleece job.
  20. Best part of this read: watching the youngster jump for joy after catching Royce's homer. A memory he'll never forget! I remember getting Frank Viola's autograph in the depths of the Metrodome after a mid-week matinee back in the 80s and it's stuck with me for life. Go Twins, we'll be cheering for you no matter who you run out there.
  21. Great to see both of the guys who came to the Twins in the Berrios trade making hay. SWR and Austin Martin both have a huge opportunity to stick in Minneapolis full time next year. Nice to see them both seizing their chance.
  22. Pretty sad state of affairs. Rocco has completely lost this team and should be fired at season's end. His style of managing is not a good match for a young, bad, rebuilding franchise. Thanks for your service Rocco and good luck wherever you land.
  23. Yeah, he may get penalized. On the flip side, he's BYRON BUXTON and I think the season that he's put together on a very bad Minnesota team will actually charm the socks off of many of the voters. To see him realize this type of season after what he's been through in his career may give him an extra boost in the voting.
  24. Thanks for sharing. I absolutely think he'll get a Top 10 nod for MVP. I think it's a lock, frankly.
