    Who wants three underperforming players who haven't proven themselves in the majors even after extended stints in the bigs? Their weaknesses have been on full display as have their struggles and inability to adjust. Whether you have a little junk to trade, or lots of junk to trade - it's still junk. And nobody wants it.

    Agreed. The Twins are just an average MLB team - slightly above average pitching, slightly below average hitting. They have trouble closing out winnable games, I don't see them making the playoffs, there's just not enough talent or leadership. That said, it's baseball and there are still some interesting things that might happen. Would be nice to see Bux set a record for games played and see what kind of numbers he puts up. Would be nice to see Joe Ryan take that next step and get some Cy Young votes. Would be nice to see Lewis start raking again and put up 20+ HRs and solidify the cleanup spot. Maybe the Twins will deal Larnach or something at the break. In short, I don't mind if the Twins are average or even below average. Just so long as they're not boring while they're at it.

    I haven't heard anything about his timeline, despite looking around at many sites. At this time he's still projected to be available at the end of June. Factor in a rehab stint for a week or two in St. Paul, and we're looking at him possibly rejoining the team not long after the All Star Break.

    I'm shocked at how bad he looks at the plate. Sure I thought he'd need some time to adjust, but I didn't think he'd be this anemic. Makes Gilbert Celestino look like Barry Bonds.

    Looks like the Twins are back in the old rut of not being able to hit. Pathetic offense. Not going to win many ballgames like this. When the Twins lose 2-0 tonight, remember not to blame the pitching staff.

    I was going to mention this. Two years ago Larnach couldn't hit a curveball and to be honest it looked like he'd be out of baseball soon. He got an opportunity to redeem himself and took advantage of injuries and certainly improved a lot. He used to be an automatic out for a while there.

    Listening to the Cleveland announcers: "The Guardians always feel like they're in a game when they're playing against the Twins, no matter the score".

    I wish it was Devil Magic. The reality is that the Guardians are a better ballclub, with a better coaching staff and a better approach. They played some great baseball there in the 9th against an inferior team who can't execute.
