  1. Hill had better numbers away from Dodger Stadium last year. This year they are worse. Both years combined they are about a wash. Ballpark doesn't seem to have much effect on Hill.
  2. The people in the stadium wouldn't know about it, if its not broadcast? Why not? Aside from playoff games I've never seen it broadcast on the regular tv broadcast.
  3. I think what Ash is asking, as will I, is what specifically is forming your opinion that Berrios is less likely to get hurt?
  4. With all due respect, TB would feel insulted by that offer, IMO.
  5. I disagree. To me lottery ticket has more to do with affiliate level and upside. Lewis is the type of lottery ticket that could move the needle in a trade. Note: I'm talking about moving the needle on a major trade. Obviously you can get a Brandon Kintzler or Jaime Garcia rental, etc. for one of those C+ guys.
  6. The anthem is already not broadcast. Except for the SB, it never has been, regularly, I don't believe.
  7. I'm sure I'll get ripped, but it's still the same old Timberwolves. This team needed a half court prayer do drop AND 2 blown calls to not be 1-3, despite a pretty soft schedule so far. This team has no business losing to Indiana with where they want us to believe they are in the process. And I'm still not a believer in Wiggins. Maybe he's still got a lot of room for growth, I hope so, he needs to get a lot better.
  8. C+ prospects don't move the needle on a trade.
  9. While from a pure $ standpoint, there may not be a ton of upside in the cost of those 2 FA years, there is a huge upside. Its getting those 2 years, smack in the sweet spot of his prime, without having to overpay for the subsequent down years later. That is a huge value, IMO.
  10. Seth Green must be the most overhyped prospect to ever come into college football, if he's not even good enough to be in the mix over Rhoda and Croft.
  11. No. One of those 3 alone would have been far more than what they got from the Astros.
  12. That report doesn't say anywhere that it's a lowball contract. I'd imagine that half or more of the managers in mlb make less than the $2 million per that Gardy was making by the end of his tenure.
  13. Trump is overnight UPS'ing unsent condolence letters in case anyone fact checks his claims of being the greatest of all time at doing this. So gross on so many levels, I literally thought I was reading an Onion headline before I clicked on it.
  14. First, they would have pulled him back if claimed. And second, as a 10/5 guy, yes you still need his permission to claim him off waivers.
  15. Isn't there some middle ground between the absolute best guy for the job, and a "hack"?
  16. Could you please post the applicable links to your allegations that Molitor signed a low ball contract? Thanks in advance.
  17. Why do you have the Astros on that list? Houston's opening day payrolls, last 3 seasons: 2017: $124 million 2016: $96 million 2015: $72 million If the refrain is that we can't spend like those wild crazy Astros, then just fold the shop right now.
  18. Doesn't each teams cut of the expansion fees cover much of that?
  19. No, 5/25 doesn't even come close to getting a seat, IMO.
  20. A quick Google search shows you to be correct. Portland gets most of their rain in the winter. They actually get far less rain during baseball season than Minneapolis does. From April through September, Minneapolis gets an average of about 20.8" of rain, while Portland gets 9.9".
  21. Again, naming people that have done it doesn't somehow justify it. If someone cuts me off in traffic, they aren't any less of a jerk just because they have a big ego, so hey it's expected.
  22. I don't remember Mauer making a big stink about moving to 1B. But, maybe I just don't remember. I'm also not denying that people DO react the way that McCutcheon did, just that they shouldn't. Getting this far in life behaving this way isn't an excuse for behaving this way.
  23. I disagree. Its one thing to not like it, but if your employer tells you to go play over there, instead of over here, for the good of the team, you should do it enthusiastically. Players get paid to play, not to make lineup or roster decisions. They already have guys getting paid to do that.
  24. The award is player of the year, not hitter of the year.
