  1. Fundy back as well. For a team that was confident of how easy it is to build a bullpen, they sure are grasping at straws...
  2. I'd love for Buck to sign a 2-3 year extension that keeps the NTC and allows him to finish his career with the Twins.
  3. Keaschall is 'officially fixed' - based on 164 plate appearances?
  4. The Dodgers investment in their front office, analytics and scouting is second to none in all of sports. It isn't just payroll. I can't stand them but they have set the bar incredibly high.
  5. Luke has really bad mechanics and foot work. Not sure where you can hide him defensively. Bigger question is, will his bat ever get to the point where it makes up for his horrible defense. He needs to be Daniel Murphy but not sure he has it in him.
  6. Come on, Mike. That's not what I posted and you know that. I said they play scared and tight. It's 2-2. Could easily be 3-1 but for mental errors and those mistakes are usually the sign of a team that is jittery.
  7. Martin doesn't look fast when he's running despite the impressive sprint time...
  8. If Rojas can ever hit the side of a barn, he's going to be really good.
  9. The Voth move makes more sense now. In a vacuum, it would be a head scratcher to call him up and send Lawyerson down. But, yeah, might be need a 'bulk' arm coming out of the bullpen.
  10. What's the saying - fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me... What happens the third time? The Twins shouldn't trust Wallner. We've seen this movie before. I wouldn't mind seeing what Roden can do especially with Martin falling off a cliff. As for Jenkins, can't wait until he's up with the Twins but I would be surprised if he's in the conversation right now - maybe that changes next month or after the trade deadline.
  11. They play scared, yes. Are they inherently scared? No. But, they do tend to play tight against certain opponents, notably, the Yankees, Guardians, Dodgers - to name a few. They faced Lauer in April and teed off on him. Last night, they looked absolutely baffled at the plate. Lauer is who he is. So what's the difference? A team that is playing tight and jumping out of their cleats at the first pitch they saw. The data sample isn't small either - wish it was different, but it is what it is.
  12. Twins will forever be scared of the moment. The one time they weren't in the last 20+ years was against Toronto in the wildcard round. That version of Royce Lewis and Carlos Correa aren't walking in the clubhouse tomorrow.
  13. Shelty has done a lot of good things this year so can't complain too much but I don't care if it's a lefty, leave Larnach in the game.
  14. lol, Buck knew it was gone but that sure was close.
  15. Yeah he rebounded in a big way. Keep it up, Zeb. Twins should be able to scratch some runs across against this guy.
  16. Zebby could be in for a world of hurt tonight...
  17. Paredes did a nice job once he stopped walking guys. He has a nice mix of pitches. If he could find his command, he's a solid depth piece.
  18. Heck of a win. Heck of a road trip, boys. They're in the mix. Time for Tom P. to make good on his promises. Give them a fighting chance.
