    If 2026 taught us anything, you need all the starting pitching you can get. Abel's health long term is problematic.

    I said it before. Twins biggest problem isn't being cheap so much as it making bad decisions when they have the flexibility to add to the roster. Adding a starter makes sense. But, Kremer has been pretty bad of late. Some of it is bad luck and pitching in Camden Yards. And some of it is, he's just not very good.

    Yeah, starting pitcher hasn't been mentioned much but Prielipp, IIRC, is on an innings limit and he's quickly approaching it. Couple that with Zebby being up and down and Joe struggling at times, and they'd do well to grab a 4th or 5th starter to slot behind Joe, Bradley, and Ober.

    Sounds like the fastball, post-injury, might not ever be what it was - or at least not this season. But, it is something you can live with. He doesn't walk people and he knows how to pitch in a big spot. Gomez, Morris and Minter. Three arms that you can trust. In terms of what's next, they could use another righty to either replace Anderson or Adams - the latter has shown signs of breaking through and Anderson has intriguing stuff - but, if the goal is to sneak into the post-season, you probably need an upgrade over one of them. Regardless, it is a nice conversation to have. I believe it's been one year exactly since the sell-off and we all know how much that sucked and what it said about the Twins. To be at .500 in a year where they lost Pablo for the season, Abel for most of it, dealt with injuries to Buxton - it says a lot about the job Shelton's done and the chemistry in the clubhouse.

    Kudos to the Twins. Minter has pitched in a lot of big games over the years. No offense to Fundy and Rogers, but this is the kind of lefty you want coming out of the bullpen.

    Man, if there's ever a game that will have momentum carrying into the next one - has to be this. Just unreal. And, ahem, there were folks that wanted Kody DFA'ed in April.

    We'll see how serious the Twins are about contending this year. If they are - they'll keep Jeffers. The AL is wide open right now. It sounds cliche but - just get in and give yourself a chance. Ryan and Bradley in a short series give you every opportunity in that first round.

    At this point, I'm more concerned with the line-up than the bullpen - especially if Buck is going to be hampered the rest of the season.

    Anderson's over the top delivery reminds me of old friend, flamed out prospect, Jared Balazovich.

    Jeffers is a rental in theory but if the Yankees trade for him, they'll be able to re-sign him to an extension. The Twins need to approach the trade discussions with that at the forefront.

    Cole Sands was 🤮on Sunday. Perhaps rust and just working his way back but the Twins can't afford to wait too long to know the answer.
