  1. Meh. Not sure. He's controllable so there's that but before this season, his numbers were below league average.
  2. Nailed, it Chief and was going to ask the same thing. That's a really long post about the team's chances from someone who hasn't watched a game!
  3. The league is struggling...well, yeah, but isn't that also a reason to strike while the iron's hot?
  4. We'll see how serious the Twins are about contending this year. If they are - they'll keep Jeffers. The AL is wide open right now. It sounds cliche but - just get in and give yourself a chance. Ryan and Bradley in a short series give you every opportunity in that first round.
  5. At this point, I'm more concerned with the line-up than the bullpen - especially if Buck is going to be hampered the rest of the season.
  6. Anderson's over the top delivery reminds me of old friend, flamed out prospect, Jared Balazovich.
  7. Not comparing him to these players the cautionary tale still applies - Ortiz and Rooker. You never know...
  8. Royce is just a genuinely happy guy. It's good to see him have success.
  9. Jeffers is a rental in theory but if the Yankees trade for him, they'll be able to re-sign him to an extension. The Twins need to approach the trade discussions with that at the forefront.
  10. Cole Sands was 🤮on Sunday. Perhaps rust and just working his way back but the Twins can't afford to wait too long to know the answer.
  11. The Twins could have had Christian Walker when they traded Correa last summer. Admittedly, different times - Twins are looking to contend (hopefully) and Walker's contract has 1.5 years left instead of 2.5 years. But, he's owed $20M in 2027. I don't see a 'realistic' scenario where they're adding that type of payroll to next year's roster.
  12. Castillo is owed $25M in 2027. At the time he signed that deal, that was a bargain. Not now however. Can't see Tom P. parting with prospects AND having $25M more in player salary on the books for 2027. I'm still not necessarily buying the idea that Seattle is going to have a sell-off. With that pitching, and considering how 'winnable' the AL is this year - they just need to sneak into the post-season and they'll become the team that no one wants to play.
  13. There will be plenty of suitors for Jeffers. The Yankees are without Bellinger for 4-6 weeks. Judge and Stanton continue to be out. Desperate times in the Bronx. If they want Jeffers, make them overpay.
  14. Weird at bat from Luke. It's like he forgot it was a 1-2 count.
