  1. Gotta be a first... HTF do we have a knuckleballer with a gimpy wing??? #twinsbaseball
  2. Only one thing better than three hours of live Twins baseball...
  3. I've seen mediocrity. I watched ~130-40 Twins games last year. They were seldom mediocre. They stunk, individually (excepting Buxton and Keaschall) and were worse than that collectively. The problem isn't mediocrity (that would be a huge step up!), it is that people who should be the last guy or two off the bench (if that) start for this team.
  4. But his arm strength... (just ignore that day and a half windup!)
  5. If anyone with actual say-so thinks Wallner is underrated, please call the Twins front office. Something can be worked out...
  6. "Liked" because you're 💯 percent correct. Hate it because you're 💯 percent correct...
  7. And Twins fans are told to be excited about the "prospects" who either flop or regression in the majors. Helluva pipeline! Couldn't even piece together a semblance of a bullpen with the supposed strength of the pitching. And we're how many years since the last prospect "hit"? (Jeffers is now 6 years...) Author needs a remedial engineering course. A sewer pipe isn't a "pipeline"...
  8. Scouring the Twins' rosters trying to find all that "excess depth" holding him up. At any position...
  9. Insanity - doing the exact same thing over and over while expecting different results. Or, reading twinsdaily.com...
  10. At least they Twins waited for the trade of Julien to get done. Despite the many, many, many fork-ups by Failvey, he literally got something for nothing (actually, less than nothing- nothing won't hurt you, but Julien could and did). Good riddance. Twice.
  11. The writing has been on the wall since the trade deadline. That was the moment Failvey had to go face his contemporaries and say "I failed, come pick over the bones." Surprised it took this long.
  12. When Julien is cut, someone here will whine that it was a mistake and he should have been traded to fill our roster hole at _____ ( name the position)... Well, f&% me!!!! Julien has been traded. As part of a package. Best of luck in Colorado, and now we get ready for the GM of the year award for trading the baseball equivalent of dirty laundry! Congratulations Failvey!!! Didn't think it was possible
  13. The Twins' house (circa 2025) had no windows or doors marked "Defense"... More in line with a painted on fire escape in a Buggs Bunny cartoon. Just less funny.
  14. "DH types", too bad none of them is actually a capable DH. Lack of defensive ability doesn"t make you a DH... Being capable of only being a DH ddoesn't make them a DH any more than it makes them a capable pitcher!
  15. Too bad we don't have Straw. Yeah he must be 60-ish and likely won't pass a drug test, but he is still our best corner OF. Back to my breakfast gin...
  16. Stink against righties, stink against lefties. But, it is just peachy! All the bench players get to play too!!! Just like a very bad little league team...
  17. No question about it. Ober stunk last year. Tipping his pitches? Lack of "stuff"? Just plain figured out by competent hitters? "Gimmick" of being 6'10" solved because he throws about as hard as Radke pitched? Hope it's the first and not latter choices...
  18. "...could still be Joey Gallo. " And you you say the OP is too hard on him...
  19. Never seen an NBA fight??? Kermit Washington wasn't suspended for throwing a particularly cheap shot, it was for throwing the only actual punch in the game's history! Can't have that...
  20. "Larnach for a prospect..." Thanks to everyone who has posted this lately (say the last two years). It is uncommon to get a legitimate belly laugh reading Twins news!
  21. How many starting pitchers do the Twins (or any team!) need? Who knows. But, it will be more than they thought before the season. Always.
  22. A logjam... Not quite what I'd call it. Clear a logjam and you have basically all your logs back, ready to merrily float on down the river. What we've got here is much more akin to a blocked up toilet. It doesn't work as planned and fixing it will entail digging out a lot of s... well something.
