    Do we know that the escrow for Correa's contract is not part of that debt? His trade freed up $70m. Either way, that should now be available for debt service. But, seeing as how this is the Pohlads, maybe not.

    Budget. All of their arbitration players will get a bump. They may pay that for a starting pitcher or a catcher. I don't see them putting that money into the bullpen... Even for Duran 😕

    4 million this year. 8-10 million is projected.

    Duran was effectively a rental. He was going to get very expensive in arbitration next year. The Twins were not going to pay. Jax will get expensive as well, but not to the same extent.

    Why can't the 2 approaches coexist? Major league pitching is at a premium. Why not use all your guys to their best abilities? Yes, it will require managing the pitching staff differently.

    Now that the Twins have given up the season, it is a good time to try out the alternate pitching construct they have been using in the minors.

    Embarrassed is the right word. This team needs a wake-up call. Make some trades, demote a couple, bring up some AAA players who are willing to hustle. The remainder might realize their place is not guaranteed. Don't know if it would result in more wins, but might be a whole lot more fun to watch!

    Great explanation of the workings of the 40 man roster! This is another area the FO doesn't do well. Having the wrong players on the 40 man leads to AAA players seemingly stuck there when the team needs to try something different.
