Red Sox 13, Twins 1: Is This Selling?
David Maro replied to Sherry Cerny's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
All the talk about a rebuild, who here wants Rocco to be any part of that. This team has mailed it in and will be lucky to win 20 games. I had them finishing the season in 4th place at the start of the season. It now looks like they may finish in 5th place.- 60 replies

This team has become a laughing stock losing to both the Rockies and the Nationals. Time to be honest about players like Wallner and Lee. They can't play Wallner in RF because he is a liability with his glove. He really should be back in St Paul. And putting Lee at 2nd has been a bad idea. He has shown his reactions aren't there. Hopefully they get Keaschall back today to play 2nd. Also time for Martin to play LF if Buxton is down. That means Keirsey in CF if Bader is gone.

The players are all freaking out wondering if they will be gone by Thursday. The problem is its time to show up and do something. This is the job of the manager and unfortunately they don't have one. You can trade this guy or that guy,but nothing will change. They only play homerun not baseball. Listening to the booth almost every time Corey P opens his mouth he's talking about the homerun. Time for a clean sweep from the FO all the way to the booth.

Its a poorly run franchise who has already made the mistake of telling Rocco he's back next year. Why would anyone trust Falvey to make a good decision on trading anyone. The season is going to be determined by the middle of August with all the division game starting Friday.

The Rocco effect could have cost them the game. How do you let SWR pitch to Pages after throwing 9 balls in a row. Basically SWR walked up and put the ball on a tee for him. The thing that saved them was the Dodgers bad defense, booting groundballs and bad throws.

How has selling improved this team other than Lopez and Ryan. They are still waiting on SWR and Martin. Bringing in talent to play in Wichita and St Paul hoping someone makes it to the show won't help. The team doesn't play baseball, they play homerun. Until they change their mindset it doesn't matter what the talent is. Yes the homerun has a place in the game, but can't be the end all be all.

Because of how bad this clown show is they are pitching Ryan today. They really needed to save him for Monday or Tuesday against the Dodgers. If they were 1-1 in the series they probably would have had SWR or Festa go. They can sell at the deadline, but what is going to change. They still have the same management in the office and dugout.

This team can't afford to be down 4 or 5 runs after 1 inning. All the whining about France is not the biggest problem. How about the 35 million dollar man. He came up with runners in scoring position twice and failed. With the team being for sale they will be doing very little to change what they are. They won't be filling positions with anyone from St Paul. All you have to do is see the moves they have made so far. Nothing is going to change until the organization has changed top to bottom.

With an offense as bad as this team is they can't have Clemens and Wallner in the lineup together. They both strike out 2 and 3 times a game. The biggest problem is other than Buxton they don't do the little things needed to win. And praising Rocco for calling for a contact play or bunt once every 10 games is silly.
-
Everyone has been saying they need more pitching and now let's trade some away. I don't think you will see Miranda or Julien in a Twins uniform again,so let's start there. Just remember at the season's end they will be down to one catcher. You don't hear anything about the catching they have in the wings. And another thing the team is for sale,do they really want to start weakening the team.

They all had their bags packed in the clubhouse and no interest in the game. Over and under throws to first. Giving up on slow rollers in the middle of the field. Wallner playing a single into a double. If you watched SWR on the mound you saw the disappointment on his face.

Game was over after the 1st inning. Paddock 18 pitches,Rea 7 pitches. Twins swinging for the fences only, this is why the offense is up and down. We will see the Derby Monday night, don't need to see it all the time. Really tired of seeing guys like Clemens celebrating running the bases on a solo shot. When losing by 7 or 8 runs not a lot to celebrate.

Anyone with eyes can see he has lost all confidence in the box. He is swinging thru pitches middle middle and middle up. He should have been sent to St.Paul a week ago to get himself back. Could of been brought back after the ASG. As it stands he is a leftside Sano. You can't have him and Clemens in the lineup because of the strikeouts.
-
Too busy to watch the game, but it was over in the 1st inning anyway. Can't believe all the talk about Wallner's solo homerun. The team still lost 4-1 and its time he should be sent to St.Paul. He looks more like Joey Wallner with all the strike outs. This team is a bunch of self absorbed players who only care about swinging for the fences. They haven't played baseball for the better part of the season.

They keep drafting SS every year and then move them to other positions. Part of that is because they thought C4 had that spot covered. He came in with the ankle problem, but now has the feet issue. And now even if he said he would go for a trade what team would. They also have the same thing going on with Lewis because he can't stay healthy. The only positive is they finally have the Buxton that everyone wanted to see.

What the Heck Do the Twins Do with Bailey Ober?
David Maro replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This season is Ober!! Time to make changes bring Adams up and let him pitch. Put Bailey on the IL and then rehab him in St.Paul for a couple of starts to see if he is back. Time to be honest this team is a mess and its going to finish in 4th in the division. And can't forget a team finishing in 4th place two years in a row is keeping the manager.- 35 replies

Could only watch 2 innings of this embarrassing game. How hitter after hitter made Skubal look like a Cy Young pitcher. Standing in the on deck circle watching him throw change up after change up blow the zone on 2 strikes. Then swinging at what they had just watched happen, why look at their IPad. Looking at how Paddock pitched he didn't deserve the outcome he got.
-
This is laughable to trade pitching when you look around the league. It seems everyday another pitcher is out needing TJ surgery. If they have pitching to trade why are they getting pitching off waivers. How about moving on from a Miranda and Julien. If and when Lewis comes back Lee doesn't have a everyday position to play. If you watch him play he is best suited at SS and 3rd. He looks uncomfortable at 2nd and doesn't have the range.

This has to be the biggest clown show in the MLB. Next they will sell the team and take years to finalize the sale like the Timberwolves. It is a can't waste your time to watch anymore.

The product they are running out on the field is broken. The last time I looked you can't sell something that is broken. If they want to receive the money they are looking for they are going to have to make changes. At this point the games are unwatchable after 3 or 4 innings. I think by the ASG the attendance will dictate what will happen with the organization.
