  1. I'm watching the Vikings per season game tonight. Even with the 3's and 4's playing it will be better than watching this team. Just think they still could lose 100 games.
  2. Salary Cap won't help a team that the organization drafts badly. They may or may not have a few players ready in the next 5 years. The list of players who look like bench players at best is high. Where is Miranda and of course we see Julien,Larnach and Wallner. The only thing for sure next year will be a increase in ticket prices and concession prices.
  3. Don't get too excited they just ran into a batting practice pitcher named Paddock. Thank God its football season in a couple of weeks.
  4. As of today all the traded pieces will be in the playoffs, except for Coulombe and Jax. So I would say they are all fairly happy with what happened. If they were still with the Twins they would be making golf reservations for October.
  5. Time to be honest, they have two SP and no BP. You see what happens when you gut a BP and your so called #1 starter goes down. Then your four and five who can't go more than 4-5 innings also go down. But hey we all heard that Falvey knows how to build a pitching pipeline. He forgot to tell us it will take 10 or more years. Watching Lewis at bats, why is it that he thinks its a good idea to dive over the plate. If you have to do that isn't the pitch too far out of the zone. I'm glad the football season in both college and NFL is a couple of weeks away.
  6. This game was over in the first 15 minutes of the delayed start. Totally unwatchable, and to think some die hard fans payed $100.00 for this crap. Its time for the fans to stand up and protest what is going on here and get the changes needed. The taxpayers are the owners of Target Field and need to make it clear that it is not a minor league field.
  7. Tired of hearing that this is all about payroll. The whole organization is a mess. The Rays,Cleveland,Brewers and more do fine with less. If this FO is so good at evaluating players why is it that they sent 11 of them out the door. And now what is left couldn't beat the Saints. This organization will be lucky to sell 1,000 season tickets next year.
  8. Ryan won't be signing any long term deal here because the team is years away from anything. The White Sox traded Crochet because he wanted out and you can't have a unhappy player in the dugout. Now that Polhad's aren't going anywhere that means Falvey and Baldelli won't be either. That means more time of unwatchable baseball.
  9. To be honest here Joe Ryan probably would have been gone except for the fact that his fiance is with child. It is something they probably both talked about and decided to wait until the off season. This team is years from competing for the division and even longer going to a WS.
  10. They blow up the BP when its well past time that its the FO and Rocco that needed to go. It was fine to trade expiring contracts like Castro and France as well as Columbe. And as far as Correa goes he has not shown he was worth the money, and he seemed to have a foot out the door. I did see a report that the Polhad's are bringing in partners, and not selling which is not good news. They really need to go,and a house cleaning needs to happen.
  11. Easy!! Fire the fools in the office and dugout. You don't trade arms that you have years of control. They had a couple of years to develop replacements, but blew up the one thing this team had. We all saw what happens when you have no BP the last two nights in NYC. They went there with the Yankees not playing well and are getting smoked.
  12. As usual they tried to out homer the Yankees. Everyone gets all excited because Buxton hit a solo homerun, how about the 3 strike outs. The BP has at least 5 guys that belong in St.Paul or lower.
  13. Why is it that Lewis thinks he its a good idea to swing for the fences on every swing. How about a base hit to a wide open right side. What is Gasper doing on the roster,Julien probably would have been better playing 1st and batting 9th. This game was given away by the manager with his lineup construction.
  14. Keaschall has become the straw that stirs the drink. Since he's return the team has played much better. They do have to realize that Wallner is a DH at best. He is a liability playing RF with the glove. Maybe he would be better at 1st with Clemens in RF. Its August and Ryan is looking tired and his velocity is down. I didn't see a single fastball at 95.
  15. The sale of this team unfortunately is a long way away. With the debt its carrying and no TV deal why would buyers look at this as a good investment. Yes there is a stadium but now a product that is not watchable. And the FO and manager have taken this team to the bottom of league.
  16. Send a scout out to parks around town I'm sure they can find a softball pitcher with a better fastball than Davis. We now see Rocco has an excuse for losing because he has no BP.
  17. It was hard to trade anyone injured at the deadline that has a no trade. Trading expiring contracts was wise, but gutting the BP was stupid. The SP can't go more than 4-5 innings and now they're running batting practice pitchers out to mop up the mess. I understand Buxton didn't want to uproot his family but this team will be a AAA team for years. Everyone thought players like Julien,Miranda,Lewis and more were the future, not so much. Buxton is now on the back side of his career. He will not even see a playoff game nevertheless a WS with this organization.
  18. Don't get to excited this team struck out 41 times in 3 games. As far as Clemens goes that was all him. We all know that Rocco would not want to waste an out on something like that. Here is something that I found the other day. This is for all the fans that think the HR is the end all be all. The number of players with 25 or more is 17 in both AL and NL.
  19. First off the 13-1 loss was to be expected when rumors were flying that the team was open for business. We've all had jobs were we know the end is near. Trading contracts that end at the end of the season is one thing but gutting the BP should not have happened. Watching Correa the last month or more you saw he wanted out.
  20. The game is called baseball, this team doesn't play it. The manager is clueless and its unwatchable.
  21. The real problem here is the FO and manager they are the one's that put the team together. Now it's not working the way they thought. How is it that you cater to a player like Lewis who can't stay healthy. The manager plays checkers with other players all over the field. Correa burned the Twins when he oped out the first time. Then when things didn't go his way in FA he came back. And the FO was more than willing to forgive and forget. He is finally gone and back were he always wanted to be. Just looked at today's lineup and Martin is not in it,didn't he do the most in last nights game. That's Rocco ball in a nutshell.
  22. They say bunting is wasting an out, then what is striking out. Different day same crap. Don't believe anyone had any interest in what Falvey had to say. The only thing that might have made fans feel better would have been he and Rocco are resigning.
  23. The best trade yesterday was Correa back to the Astros. With his bad feet and declining play the cost was too high. The trade of Varland and Jax was all about them wanting to be SP. Also the Jax blow up at Rocco made the manager look bad. And everyone knows that is a no no.
  24. They did pick a lane. They fired the players not the manager. They just proved the experts wrong you can fire the players.
  25. The organization is now the Marlins of the north. Its time to move the Saints into Target Field. They traded 10 players off the 26 man roster leaving the so called best BP empty.
